A man saying he was DEA Special Agent John McBride called, trying to extort money from me so that the Dominican Republic would not arrest me and throw me in jail. He knew my full name, phone number, and other personal information about me. I called the DEA and they gave me a number to call to report the phone call. This type of extortion scam is apparently on the rise.
