This number somehow contacted my mother who is not tech savvy, was trying to fix her iCloud account with apple. Not sure how she was first contacted, other than she did send me a screen **** of a text saying “call me at #.” She was convinced she was in contract with someone for apple support, stating that “there was an apple by his name.” An emoji… so she apparently relayed info on either her account, or info on her personal debit card. She also noticed that he sounded as if he was from somewhere else because he had a strong accent with bad broken English. He said his name was Peter Brown, and stole $1000 from her account. The next morning she goes to the bank trying to do whatever to reverse it and get her money back, unfortunately there was nothing they could do.
