Call came in at 2:38 p.m. EST on 6 Feb 2009.  Picked up phone, said "Hello" twice, waited. ***ody replied and then person or, thing ***g up.

I am also receiving calls from this number, claiming to be companies representing everything from extended warranty and/or iden***y theft.  I have successfully files a complaint with the donotcall.gov site, but don't have much faith in that service.

I get these calls once a day as well and someone should report these people

GTC RC 2000 BC  805 486-93111-23-09:  As I was asking the gentleman to remove my number from his list he ***g up on me.  I called the number back and a recording said this 805 486-9311 number was disconnected.  I tried to file a complaint with www.donotcall.org and strangely when I put in 805 486-9311 and tried to submit this complaint I got the message in red below and could not file it.  I did write the following email to Ventura County.   1-23-09 :  I received a phone call from GTC RC 2000 BC (805 486-9311).  I informed the gentleman calling that he had a wrong number and asked he please remove me from his calling list.  He ***g up on me mid sentence.  I called my called ID number back (805 486-9311) and received a recording that this phone number had been disconnected.I tried to register a complaint using the 805 486-9311 phone number with www.donotcall.gov and when I tried to submit my complaint this information popped up:       We cannot accept your complaint because the company     phone number you entered and your registered         phone number are the same, Please verify the company     phone number and reenter the complaint.     Thank you.1-26-09:  I received another telephone call this morning from GTC RC 2000 BC (805 486-9311) at 11:07 am.  I picked up the phone, but no one answered  I feel this has to be a scam using my private telephone number for fraudulent purposes.  Resear****g the Internet with this 805 486-9311 phone number I found numerous complaints from people having the same issues and decided to contact your office.  I also searched and found it is possible this is a Verizon phone number, a landline, located in Oxnard, CA.The strange thing is I just researched my incoming calls on my phone and that 805 486-9311 number dated 1-23-09 has disappeared and I did not erase it.Thank you very much!!Sheri MorphisLargo, FL1-26-09:  11:07 am  Another phone call from GTC 805 486-9311.  Research shows landline in Oxnard, CA Ventura County with many complaints issued online, possibly Verizon phone number.  Wrote an email of complaint to Ventura County Consumer Complaint line:  [email protected]:  2:38 pm  A woman picked up as I was on hold waiting for a human response.  I advised her we now had this phone number for some months now and could she please remove us from her calling list.  She asked me where I was from and I said CT.  She said, “Where?”  I said in New London County.  She stated she too was from New London.  She stated she would remove me from her mailing list.  I asked her what kind of company she was representing and she stated she represented an “ID watchdog to prevent ID theft” business.

has called 4 days in a row, when i dial back, it is disconnected.  i am on the Do Not Call list and would to have them fined

this number calls about everyday. i never answer. i decided to call the number back and got the message stating the number isnt in service
