Payback's a b***h:I got tired of "Linda" calling all the time so I did a little research and found a Capital One phone number located in Richmond that's answered by a person. I believe it's a call center.  ( 804-967-1000 )Next I went to Capitol One's site, logged into my account and c****ed my cell phone contact number to 804-967-1000.  Since the system they're using is automated, I added the same number to home, work and alternate. Now the automated system calls the call center using all 4 numbers.  Given that when I was called they would sometimes call several times a day.  I figure that call center is getting 8 calls + or - when the system fires up.And that ladies and gents is how you Rick Roll Capital One and waste they're time and money.  :-)

This is capital One. and there collection center if you are over your spending limit. the only issue here is that capital one has extended there fees to overdraw your account. then call you to force you to pay more to clear the overdraw account. there fees are now like 75.00 and your min payment is like 35-50 dollars. this should be a crime.

Calls every hour on the hour, leaves messages they have a  great opportunity for me. A pain in the A**!!!

It's been 2 or 3 weeks that I s****ed getting calls from this number too, mornings, afternoons, nights and even Sa****ays and Sundays, every day. It's becoming really annoying. Sometimes it will leave a message from "Linda" same as the above comment, and sometimes it doesn't. I do have an acct. with Capital one but I'm always on time on my payments. I wish this number would stop calling me!!

Calls my phone.....no messages...If capital one wants to get money..just send me a bill.

This is the message they leave every time: "Hi this Linda! We have some opportunities that can be available to you at Capital One. Please call me back today at 1-800-955-6600 to discuss them. Thank you." It is so annoying!!!!

Called me twice today - am and pm. I answered the pm call and there was an automated message requesting that I wait for a rep - ***g up.

Capital one is breaking federal law and its ****ing me off!

Called a little before 10AM ET today and last 2 days.  Ignored first two calls and they left no message.  Finally answered one with intent to say stop calling as I am not their customer.  As expected they were for someone else (had my number 5+ yrs). Caller ***g up abruptly/evasively before I could explain person they were looking for not available at my number.  Called back, entered bogus SSN of 111223333 to get past their prompts and talk to human.  Gave no personal info, just phone number they called to be taken off their war dialer list.  This person was apologetic even though I gave him an earful about the rude person who called before. I hadn't been rude to the person who called me then ***g up abruptly but that irritated me.  We'll see if the calls stop.

this number has called me twice today. its says its lisa from capital one and we have a special opportunity for you. im making my monthly payments and i have already called the real capital one number about my payments. i wish they would stop calling me.

This number has called my cell phone day and night for 3 months, and I'm just annoyed.

Caller asked for me by name.  I asked who was calling.  Caller identified themselves.  I advised I did not know this name.  They asked if I were who they were calling for.  I asked them to identify themselves a***n.  They asked if I were who they were calling for.  I told them I did not know who they were.  They ended up ****ing up.I called number back.  It was Capital One number.  I do have an account with them.  Probably a valid phone call.I only wish when they call they would properly identify themselves with a name and a company.  If they will not identify themselves properly, I do not identify myself properly.

This number called on my cell phone and he could barely speak English. He told me that I needed to make a payment with him over the phone right now to bring up my deliquent $68 payment. I am not behind on account and ***g up. He even knew my name. This is scary.

Got a call from this phone number this morning saying it was Nita from some Doctors office.  Couldn't understand this foreigner so I ***g up.

I've received this call twice today, don't know who it was.
