Received a text message from (806)205-5244 stating: Please call to validate your phone number. Thank You, Wells Fargo Office. Seems to be a Texas based mobile phone. Appears to be a scammer.

They sent a text saying to call the Wells Fargo office to verify my phone number. I don’t bank with Wells Fargo.

I received this text today from this number although I'm a Wells Fargo customer and their site says they do not send text messages: "Please call back to confirm your phone number. Thank You, Wells Fargo Team." I also had 2 other texts, one from "[email protected]. The other was the same except the number in the center was 562 not 472.
