I used to live in Hawaii, now I live in Utah, and this number keeps calling me and 1 or 2 in the morning. How do I get them to stop?

I got abusive, misleading, and threatening calls from these knuckleheads. Sent text with this phone number as part of a scam to get me to call and give out my bank information.

This company is now calling Ca***a, on residential lines and cell phones. Both my cell phone and residential numbers are on the National Do Not Call List - yet I have received several calls from this company. Call display shows the number as 000-000-0000. Same automated message with the cruise captain and promise of tickets. The automated message also says that it is a "Public Service Announcement". Figured I would press any random number to get through to a real person. When I got through, I asked for the company name. All I got was "Answer Solutions". Then the operator ***g up on me. Good enough for me to report these f**kers.

Now they are calling Ca***a, but, somehow they are able to manipulate the call display, cuz all that shows is 000-000-0000. Same schtick though...BS cruise to the Ba***** for answering a bunch of questions. Went through the ordeal so that i could get a hold of a human and garner some info. Operator would not give me his name. Told me company name is "Answer Solutions" and that's it. He refused to give me a call back number and told me to go to their website (answersolutions.net) if i wanted any more info. Gonna drop this one into the hands of our equivalent to the FTC(the CRTC), since i'm on our National Do Not Call List and see what comes of it. Good detective work... Received the exact same automated call offering me 2 free cruise tickets today. It's a con.  You don't have to listen to the questions - just press any old series of phone ****ons, I pressed '0' 10 times. I got a young male - "operator "3755" - refused to tell me his name or where their company was located and he constantly pressured me for personal information. He said the company was on the West Coast, the male 'supervisor' of the boiler room told me the company was located on the East Coast. Just like the other posters report, the 'supervisor' refused to provide me with the company's address, location, or telephone number. The smooth-talking 'supervisor' claimed that because they are an 'in-bound' call center (you have to push ****ons on the phone to be connected to them), they are therefore not subject to Telemarketing law which requires disclosure upon  request. That's a new twist!  I doubt that is true. "Answer Solutions" uses high-pressure tactics to attempt to obtain personal information and to close the sale: "Do you want the free cruise or not?" "If you aren't going to co-operate, I will put your telephone number on the do not call list." (like they are punishing me!)  Presumably, they will want a credit card number to cover 'incidental' expenses. Or they will pass your personal information along to the real boiler room hard sales con artists for later contact.  Found their address  on web (answersolutions.net). The domain name, however, is on a 2006 list of expired website names. The old webpages can be retrieved via Google.  (answersolutions.net) The old website claims they are located in Located in  Dover, DE. However, the address is Brick, NJ *Answering Solutions is a division of All American TeleServices.   Brick, NJ 08723  Phone #: 732-475-4438,  Fax  # 866-456-0255.   I found complaints about this company on several different websites.   I contacted the *****chusetts Attorney General office; I am attempting to file a complaint via the very slow FTC on-line complaint form. I also filed a complaint with http://www.asta.org - American Society of Travel Agents. Thank you for posting your complaint! Clearly this is an active con going on all across the US.

I just got a call from an automated system that greeted me with "This is your captain!" and told me I would win a trip to the Ba***** if I answered ten questions.  I figured it was a scam, but I decided to see what the questions were and see if I could find any information to report to authorities.  They were random market research sounding questions which didn't seem too personal, so I answered them.  Then it forwarded me to an operator so I could give her my name.  Instead, I asked her for her name but she was not allowed to give it to me.  So, she offered to get me a supervisor and I accepted.  The supervisor would not give me her name.  She said the company name was Answer Solutions.  She said that they were doing work for a travel agency and a market research company, but would not tell me the names of those businesses.  She would not give me any phone numbers to call back with.  She would not even tell me which state she is located in.  They kept offering to take my name off the list, and I couldn't get any information out of them, so I eventually requested that they do so.

This is a Scavenger Debt Collector!!!! Beware, even if they have the wrong number they STILL call and harass you! The pieces of **** need to get a clue and understand MY phone number is not connected to the person they are trying to collect from. I am now in the process of filing a formal complaint a***nst this company!

I got a call this morning, it was what woke me up! Since I don't answer calls from phone numbers that I don't recognize, I didn't answer. But I've got two calls from this number and I'm getting very annoyed.

Called me at home at 12:29pm, I never answer my phone unless its family or doctors office. I c****ed my number about 1 year ago, I put it on the DO NOT CALL list as well as I paid extra to have it unlisted. SO HOW DID THESE PEOPLE GET MY NUMBER!!!!!!!!!! Is my phone company doing its job keeping my number private?.....NOT!!!! Guess I will be giving them a call next....I HATE THE PHONE! If I didnt live so far out in the boonies I wouldnt have one. But I have kids and need it for emergency use! And if someone in the government is reading these complaints, please tighten the security on our phone privacy....The unwanted calls for people on Do Not Call list and those who have an "UNLISTED" number are still getting our numbers!!!!!!! This MUST stop!!!!

This is a collection agency number.  I am NOT Ian Helm - yet he persists on giving out my number as his and he is a Dead Beat apparently.  These people called me and they are nasty.  I called back to say this is a business number and they had the wrong number and they were nasty and wanted to know why I hadn't returned their last 5 calls.

I'm on that do not call list also and I still get calls like this. I've never had this much problem with companies calling intil I got DSL at my home.

I update it every 2 years (like your supposed to)I got a missed call from this number and it was busy for a while and then when I do get through it tells me that I have an "incorrect code or ext".... WHAT?My husband is active Duty Military and I thought it was someone calling from the base in HI..... Obviously not the case.

Received the call and figured if I answered the questions I would get to talk with someone. When I finally got to a live person, I asked the name of the company and where they were located. I was told by "operator 7558" that they are Answer Solutions and located on the east coast. He told me that is all that he is allowed to say. Would not give me a number for me to call back, of course. When I told him that I would really like a bit more info, in order to have so****ing to give to my state's attorney general he (laughably) told me that the attorney general only deals with "sickness and stuff, not travel" (?!?) and immediately ***g up on me. Yeah, before I got the chance to set him straight on what the attorney general does. ****!

looked up the phone number--didnt answer like everyone else here---looks like i made the right decision!! i am on the national no call list--so what the heck!!?? how can we get these people back? it was almost 10 pm when they called!! btw--you can also register your cell phone numbers on the national do not call--i had to do this because the car warranty "people" have called my cell twice in 4 days!! a friend of mine said dont answer when you dont know the number--they check to see if a "real" person answers and after that the calls INCREASE!!

Received another call from this number last night. No message. Tried to return but got busy signal 3X, and then a message telling me the number was wrong and check it, etc. Had a feeling it was an internal message to get me to stop calling. My number is unlisted. I use Time Warner for my phone service.

I received a call from this # last night but did not answer.  They left no message.  I dial it today and got a busy signal 3X.  The last time I dialed I got a message telling me the # I dialed was incorrect, and please check the # or code...etc.  Maybe I'll answer next time.  My number is unlisted.

I have been getting calls from this number and other 808 numbers since May!  I've never answered, but did a google search to see who it is and found this site.  I figured it was a telemarketer.

It has to be a scam.  The operater said he "couldn't really tell me what cruise line or anything about the offer, I would get more information later"

6/26/2008i JUST recieved my cell phone on june23.[a few days ago] only a small handfull of close friends and relatives know the phone number. i do not recognize this number, and no information was left on my phone.- this was on a cell phone that uses prepaid cards, so for me to even pick up wastes my minutes and money. on someone i dont want calling me in the first place.
