Leave a CommentI received the same phone call April 8, 2010 stating they could lower my interest rate and this was my last chance to get signed up. They also left a different number to call back. I didn't call them back.
Same thing happened to me the other day as well. Number keeps calling me and harassing me about credit cards and how I talked with her the other day.
Watch out. This company acts like they work for your credit card company and offer relief on you interest rate. They claim that the govt set this up to help Ironically, they do not know your account number, which they ask for ,and they ask for the code on the back along with the expiration date. i had a ball leading them to the brink and at the last minute before they had all the data, said I am not interested. ****ed them off royally
Some ****** automated call. I ***g up on it right away. She sounded like a real b***h, and she interrupted my dinner!
Yeah... same thing here, I got this message on my way to class, funny thing is that they didn't even call my phone, just went straight for my voicemail... it was a woman, identified herself as Leslie. It's obviously a scam or very shady debt relief company, as I have never talked to someone about debt relief and seeing as my CC usage is like 5%, I would have no reason to. One thing, I did get a notice in the mail about my Citi credit card having a new privacy policy a couple weeks ago... maybe they've sold my name to a "telemarketer list".
Sa****ing here it was a voice recording Mike Johnson.
Called a number I use on the web left a message about credit program.
Same general encounter here. Got a voicemail on my cell, sounding like a partially cut off message. A woman saying she "noticed that I was only making the minimum payments" and so****ing about an interest rate. Well, of course, I'm paying off student loans, so I thought this was legit at first. It was fishy that she also mentions "this being my last courtesy call" when its the first time I'd ever received a call or voicemail of this nature. lolCalled the 888-442-0668 number left in the message and talked to a guy who only identified himself by name and never mentioned a company. When I asked him to clarify why I might have been left this voicemail or what it was in regards to he said "Oh, we were calling about your credit card bills" To which I honestly and with much confusion replied "I... don't have any credit cards". I've never been ***g up on so fast in my life. Seriously? I didn't think people were allowed to get away with this kind of scam anymore. I really hope there's so****ing to be done about it. I can't imagine how many poor people they manage to trick with this.
Ditto to all of the above comments. 810-232-0528 records as a disconnected number. 888-442-0668 gets you to Debt Relief. As soon as you ask the nature of their business and to have your number removed, they will **** up on you.
I just got the exact same call from the same number. The girl said that I had talked to her last week about lowering my interest rates which is a bunch of bs. She gave the same number asking me to call back. Yea right!!
I got an unsolicited call April 8, 2010 on my mobile phone identifying itself as(810) 232-0528Flint, MIThe Web says this is a florist shop in Flint, MI.But they left a message peddling credit card arrangements, and a different number to call them back on: 888 442 0668. And sure enough, the number it identified itself as — (810) 232-0528 — is "no longer in service" according to what sounds like a phone company tape.

When I pressed the number 1 after the recorded message, I tried to ask that my number be removed but was ***g up on as soon as the operator knew my intentions.
