One text message.  Called the toll free number (866-737-7579) and a woman with a thick Indian accent answered so the conversation was filled with me asking her to repeat what she said.  She was apparently reading from a prepared script so I would have to try to interupt her when she was*****-bent on reading the thing.  I was told that I or a friend had completed a survey within the last 3 months and that they were texting to give me two $25 gift cards (1 from Wal-Mart and 1 from Visa) and a 30 day trial membership in a program to get 50% off purchases.  I asked her to explain the trial membership and she went back to reading her script.  The person claimed she worked for SMS, which stood for Short Message Service.  She ignored my question about the survey that I had supposedly completed and when I asked to speak to a manager, she put me on hold and no one ever returned.

same text on 8/18/10 saying that I have two free gift card. Didn't use my cell phone but, call from another telephone. Ring a long time then a recorder come on saying you have call the biggest scam give us your credit card # to be rip off. Don't know how they got my cell #. But I think we better run. I hope we can close this place down.

i got a text from this number telling me " As a Thank you this is Wednesday"

This is a complete scam...Target would never do this..I ask you to please report this to Targets Security team...they will take care of it and disable this number
