I received a call from this number and they disconnected as soon as I picked up. When I called back the number wasn't in use. Is this some sort of a scam?

It's Author House. The area code is 812, but they have a call center in the Philippians. I know, I rec'd lots of phone calls on my cell, and my home. Not sure how they got my home number. I get woken-up at hours of the morning, and just got a call on my cell and it's 11:00pm. They don't leave a message, just **** up.Don't published with any of those self publishing, I hear they get your money, then you have trouble getting your book published.I hope this helps.L, Duffy

I keep getting calls to my eFAX # with no content in the Voice Mail.

telemarketer--publishing company--asking if I was interested in publishing a textbook with them.

They left me a voice mail.  It is Author House publishing, and the were calling about a m****cript I had submitted
