Tried to pay for so****ing on CL with a certified check (asked for my full name and address). It was clearly ridiculous since they are several states away and the fuel would not make up for the discounted sale price. It has been my experience that this type of person is trying to collect as much info about you to steal your iden***y or put you on a list for telemarketers or bill collectors (I have had fake bill collectors try to collect money from me). I have a feeling if I gave my full name and mailing address they would have needed "more" information from me before sending me that certified check. I texted them back and said no thanks it seemed like a scam--no comment from them.
