The caller ID showed ADT Commercial. I answered the phone and the voice on the other end said*****o?! I replied*****o, and then it was an obvious robocall about lowering the credit card interest rate. That they had attempted to contact us 3 times and that this would be the last time. Press 1 to lower the rate or press 2 to keep the higher rate. I pressed 1 and was transferred immediately to a representative. During this pandemic no bank or financial ins***utions are calling people to lower their rates. They’re overwhelmed with inbound calls and many of their call centers are closed. I told the person that they have the wrong number. He said that they had the right number. I once a***n said that they had the wrong number and he said it was right. I told him to take the number off of their call list and he said he couldn’t. I asked him who he was calling, and he said Bye! And ***g up. We just moved and the Internet phone is a new number. The “representative” had an Indian accent, which doesn’t mean that it’s automatically a scam, but the fact that he was so ready to argue and not investigate the account as a professional would have makes this a scam.
