The same thing happened to me. I did owe a payday loan so I thought it was from them, but then he kept on telling me that I needed to be near a fax ma****e to make the payment. I found it weird, specially because my loan was being paid, so I called them directly and they told me that it was probably a collector, the guy, who barely spoke english,told me that I was going to get arrested and even gave me his batch number. The person I spoke to from the company said not to pay him anything, it was probably a scam

same thing. called said I owed some payday loan - NOT- then tried to tell me if I didnt pay immediately that cops would be coming to pick me up the next day. He had all my information, they call constantly. and call me at work. Even called my friends said that if they didnt pay for me I would be arrested.

They called said they were US Criminal Investigation Unit..Had all my personal nformation, claimed I owed some company named EMCM $210.00. I have no idea what they are talking about. But they had my bank number, social security number and all. This is scary. They could hardly speak english.

Caller said he was calling referencing a case but did not provide any details.
