Called me on my personal cell phone at 2:49pm, Mar 28, 2014. VERY thick accent saying he was with a security company. I asked him to remove my number from his list and that I wasn't interested and just ***g up.

Who are these IDIOTS? (Oh, crooks who want your credit card number, that's all.)

Only an idiot would think this caller is a spammer, when they are nothing more that internet crooks trying to sell you so****ing so cheap, that it is too good to be true (ocean cruise, vehicle extended warranty -- you name it.) And if an idiot give them a credit card number for the "deal of a lifetime, ocean cruise" your credit card is stolen, sold to another crook and you have fallen into the trap. If you get a call from Florida (or a number outside of your state, LET IT GO TO VOICE MAIL.) If they are legit, they will leave a message and you can Google them. If they are crooks (99% of the time they are) BLOCK the number.

I have been called 5 times over the last few days. The crook says he or she is from Home Security Solutions. I reply with, "Do you have a Do Not Call list?" At that point I am either ***g up on or told no. I then reply with, "Well, s**** one and put my number on it!" The person ****s up on me every time.

Anyone answering a call they don't recognize or from outside their own area code needs to understand these are offs**** crooks using a fake phone number through VOIP and they are trying to get your credit card number through a scam, such as "you won an ocean cruise" and they will send the tickets for $20, just give us your credit card number.

I politely asked the guy to take me off their calling list...He ***g up on me! What a ****. I called back and it said that number had been dissconnected.

This number has called my husband and my cel phones several times. First time we answered them, and heard nothing. We have not answered since. Usually do not answer unknown numbers. Spam. We are on do not call list. Thus we know this is an unwanted caller.

When I receive a call without a caller name that I recognize I dont waste my time answering. After reading a the comments I'm sure glad I didn't answer. Thanks folks.

Scam...said i won a free security system. Wanted my address and credit card number...didn't give it.

Asked me a series of questions: "Do you own your home?" "Can you make decisions about your home?" Answered no to both. Telemarketer continued with his script as usual. After he was done I told him I wasn't interested and he called me a liar with a hearing problem. A+ customer service. Very interested to find out how many sales they make a day with these employees.

Received call from this number within minutes on our land line and 2 different cell phone numbers. No talk at all on 1 cell & land line. I got a couple of*****o's then click. Tejas has a good point below. Call Monitronics at 800-447-9239, complain about the telemarketer, then burn the telemarketer on Facebook/twitter...if Monitronics doesn't do so****ing... ??!!

They called my cell phone and I asked them to remove me from their list and they replied, "well what if I can't" and I replied, "just please remove me from your list" then her reply was, "sorry, mamme, I was just ****ing with you"

Received a phone call today from blah blah security. He insisted on knowing whether I own a home or not. When I asked to be removed from their list, he asked a***n if I was a homeowner. After several minutes of this debate and me explaining that private information had no bearing on my number getting removed from his call list, he said he'd call me back. I sternly explained he would not call me back and if he didn't remove me I would report him. He then called me rude and ***g up on me.

Another scam that has figured out a way to war dial wireless numbers and bill the carriers and customers with the call or failed connection. Telemarketers have been given the greenlight to tap into wireless numbers and charge fees for the calls. The providers then pass the costs to customers. There is nothing to sell only the failed calls and call backs with no answers. So technically it is LEGAL for them to do so. They are using VPN data mines to rout calls through open ended data centers while keeping their locations discrete. These are the same "boiler room" scammers that use to peddle all sorts of scams, now they are doing it without having to give sales pitches and at the same time they are not guilty of fraud since there is never a conversation...
