Leave a CommentJust got a call from this number It was AAA roadside****istance for an evaluation
I keep getting calls from this number and I am on the do not call list so they should not be calling me. I do not answer and when I listen to my voice mail the call is a robo call and it says please disregard this message we will call back at a later timeI did call it back and it says its a disconnected number. So who knows. But they are in Violation of the Do Not Call List
This is not AAA , called a local west coast office and they do not use a ST PETE FLORIDA caller id or know who this Tampa,FL number belongs to claiming to be AAA doing a member satisfaction survey. Other posts have said they got called for a DHGFS and Storage USA survey call and you would be entered into a iPod shuffle contest. It sounds like another FLORIDA SCAM like the magazine subscription one that says you will be entered into a $1 million dollar sweepstakes if you buy a magazine subscription.
St. Pete Florida caller id that left a message saying this is AAA and this call recognizes it was answered by an answering ma****e if you would like to take a member satisfaction survey press 1 if not we will call back at a later time. It probably is a 3rd party telemarketing that bought a broker-warehouse lists from AAA that uses an outbound phone line system which is why you cannot call back the number and get in touch with someone. Then a***n if people like Katie who does not have AAA is getting these calls it is some kind of SCHEME TELEMARKETING out of FLORIDA like one of several SCAMS coming out of Florida no***ays.
AAA Survey call
AAA survey call. The rep said I might be getting a survey call.
For about a month now, DAILY, EVEN ON WEEKENDS, I have been receiving a call from 813-830-7851. On caller ID, the number appears with "Florida". When I have called the number, the recording says "this number is no longer is service! What a lie! Why do these telemarketers ruin their credibility. Honesty could get a sale.
Hey guys, there is a program by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) called the National Do Not Call Registry, and you can register both house and cell phones on it. Doing so will remove you from the list that 90% of telemarketers use to generate phone numbers!https://www.donotcall.gov/All you do is enter an e-mail address and the numbers you want taken off the list, then check your e-mail and follow a confirmation link...that's it! It says it may take up to a month to take full effect, but personally I noticed a difference the very next day.
CALLED MY CELL PHONE
When I listened all I heard was press 1 for English and press 2 for spanish (over and over a***n). Didn't hear what they were selling. I put my number on the do not call list.
So I read a few more paranoid posts. If people s**** asking for your social, you should know better not to respond. The questions I was asked were to rate certain aspects of my experience like customer servie professionalism, frinedlieness, easily access to gates, clean and functional unit , etc. The only questions I were asked that I was told would be confidwential were:Reason I leftHousehold IncomeIf someone csan get into my bank accounts with this information, god bless emIt's simply market research, or a mistake by an automated dialing ma****e.
I answered it after they kept calling. They would leave VMs saying ow they think they got an answering ma****e and would call back. For me, it was Extra ****e Storage, a local storage company. I had recently moved out and they were calling to see if I wanted to take a survey. Being in marketing, I decided to take the survey. If you have never used Extra ****e Storage, then it is to my****umption that this phone number is owned by a firm who may conduct, collect and ****yze phone surveys for clients. Their clients could be Extra ****e Storage, Storage USA, etc.Sometimes it's not best to not answer because they wil ikeep calling. Take 2 minutes, to formally respond using your keypad to state you do NOT want to take the survey. They will leave you alone. It's not Verizon's responsibility to block the number. Obviously you signed up for a service and ignored the service contrract that probably said if you provide a telephone number (sometimes it's required) rthat you agree to allow them to contact you for an exit survey. The reason I take these surveys is because they are used to improce processes and performance. I would****ume that when you sign up for a service you would liek some informationm and/or data about their pricing vs others in their industry, customer service, ease of access, etc. And I'm in marketing so I understand the purpose.Use your ***in, don't be ignorant. And the worse that happens? Just **** up. They cant come through the phone and make you buy or take a survey.
Texting the KGB to find out
I have been told that this is a possible scam number from out of the US. People are trying to get information and connect either collect calls or long distnace phone calls, some even say from Viet Nam. Either way, it is best if you do not answer.
The message I received said it was AAA customer survey. I don't have AAA!
I received calls from (813)830-7851 pretty much every day for the past few weeks. It's an automated call, the voice is male, and the calls vary in time of the day.I never answer the call because I screen ALL calls on my cell phone from numbers I don't recognize.Sometimes it leaves a voicemail that says: "...dhgfs and Storage USA. Thank you for your rental business. Please take a few minutes to take our brief survey, and you will be entered into a monthly drawing where one customer will win an iPod Shuffle. You may answer each question by using the numbers on your phone's keypad. Press 1 to continue in English. Press 2 to continue in Spanish... Press 1 to continue in English. Press 2 to continue in Spanish... Press 1 to continue in English. Press 2 to continue in Spanish." -- Then it disconnects. When I try to call the number back to have them remove me from their calling list, I get an automated message from the phone company that says: "We're sorry, you have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service. TWC5" -- Then it disconnects. From appearances, this seems really really shady and is probably a phishing scam of some sort. I've never answered and taken the survey - Though I've thought of doing it and giving them bogus info for whatever they ask. But I'm guessing that the automated system collects info from you and then they sell it to other telemarketing groups or so****ing. And I am guessing that the reason the telephone company says the number is disconnected is probably because it really is; the phishing scammers are probably "s****ing" the number knowing that people will try to call it back.
I have been getting a call from an 813 830 7851 everyday now for the past week at about 2:15 in the afternoon, I don't answer it and they leave a voicemail ( a partial voicemail no less). when i go to call the number back from a landline i get a message saying the number isnt valid or osme garble of the sort. is this a spam? maybe a way to steal the cellar users info? I can't even figure out how to block the number. its annoying to be quite honest
i'm getting 2 or 3 calls a day from this number. and Verizon ****s. they will do nothing to block it. VERIZON ****S.
Receiving calls daily from this number, appears to be some type of automated call possibly offering the chance to win an ipod shuffle. They continue to call me every day and leave the following on my voice mail: "[beginning cut off] ipod shuffle. Press 1 to continue in English, press 2 for Spanish." Repeat. Very annoying. Anyone know who this is?
Called and went to voice mail. When I listened all I heard was press 1 for English and press 2 for spanish (over and over a***n). Didn't hear what they were selling. I put my number on the do not call list.
