Pretending to be Spectrum

Just wanted to comment to show the date and that this number continues to be a problem.

there is no way to respond but to call the number at which point they identify you are a live person. I've never called it.

Left vm saying they applied a credit to my bill. I DO NOT have Spectrum. Also the Caller ID number did not match the call back number the automated voice left in the voice mail message

Voice mail left yesterday and today. Sounds like an automated call with an urgent issue regarding Verizon Financial and directs a call-back to 800-754-0961 using my cell number as a reference number. I have blocked (813) 956-9973.

Called 7 Times in one HOUR!!

Caller said Today really loudly. Then laughter. Then he says the word reject. Then he mentions drama and more gibberish. Definitely a scammer or telemarketer.

They tell you to call them now every 3 to 4 minutes

I will get a call and they ask me to enter my voicemail pin number. I have blocked and reported. They have called me several times over the past few months

I see in the comments below that we are told to shut off our voice mail. It is NOT my phone's Voice Mail calling me so before you call others stupid make certain you are not stupid yourself. There is no voice mail left and I have no voice mail when it calls. Getting four hours sleep is not going to help people be kind about these calls. They do not talk, no answer when calling back and so on. If you are so intelligent then explain how that is the voice mail number for everyone on this list?

I received a call on my answering machine from 813-956-9973. I called this number and received no answer. Happened 3 times in one day.

Calls day and all night to my 84 year old aunt. She even paid ATT to block it (it's their own number) and she still gets the calls!

I have had calls day and night from this number.  12:00a.m   3:a.m  and all hours of the day and night.We put a block on our phones, but you can only change your number on your cell to stop them.

I got an unwanted call.  When I call back I tell whoever answers not to call me again and it works for awhile!

At 3 a.m. they called with a voice mail. I did not opened it. Scary to hear your phone at that time........

I know this number rather well, I call it to check my voicemail. Whoever calls from this number, isn't actually calling from this number, their caller ID is fake.

813-956-9973 shows up on my bill always as an OUTGOING call.  It is the number that I dial to check my voice-messages.  It is odd that a number designated for that purpose would be calling out.  Unless your telphone account has some feature that is supposed to call you when you have voice-messages waiting to be heard.  (Just a guess.)

This number(813-956-9973) has been callign my number at all times since two days ago.  I called AT&T and Samsung (my phone manufaturer.  I was told that nothign could be done to stop it an dgave me two options.  After being on the phone and being with Customer Service for over 2 hours, I opted to take the Smart Limits package for $4.99 a month.I was appalled to find out from this site that it was a Cingular number.I got 7 calls today starting shortly after midnight.

I bought another cell phone.  Guess what? I'm got a call from this same # again on my new cell phone !.  I didn't answer it.  Our congress recently permitted businesses to call on our cell phones ! I sent complaints to my congressmen.  I also sent complaints to the national   DoNotCall.com.  People have to start complaining so that our congress can take action against these calls !

Intrusive call. How do I stop it?

This was the number for Cingular voicemail. You call from your mobile and it recognizes your number and goes to your voicemail, or you call from an outside number and enter your passcode.
