Constant calling.
I would love to shed some light on these calls for you. I work for FIA Card Services in their Customer Marketing division. If you dial this number back, you do NOT get the same person or even the same department that contacted you. Most of the time you get a call from this number because you have a past due account that we service (and yes, we service Bank of America credit accounts, too), or it is just a courtesy call. Now for those who wonder why the call shows up as State College, that is because it is an outbound call center from State College that makes those calls. However, they aren't set up to take inbound calls, so their dialer routes them to my department. In short, if you do decide to call us back, please keep in mind the following; 1) the person you get ahold of when you call back will NOT be the person who called you, so courtesy is greatly appreciated. 2) If you decide to stay on the lien to speak with a rep, just ask us to look up the information with the phone number you were called on (your phone number, that is). We'll ask for your name, please tell us. A lot of times it's for another customer who has your number listed. For whatever reason I could not even speculate. So, they may not be even be trying to get ahold of you. 3) We really do understand those collection calls that are going out are a big pain, but I must reiterate that you do get ahold of a real person who did not call you. We are not the people who called you, so please, PLEASE, be courteous to us as we should be to you. I hope this clears it up for the confused callers.
One other thing I did forget to mention in my above post is that even though my department is Customer Marketing, we are a strictly inbound department, meaning we don't make any calls to the customer. Just thought I should clarify that as well.

"Card Services" calls at all hours, morning, evening, you name it. Unsolicited and needs to STOP NOW.
Won't leave any messages
when i called back...it was "card services"
keep getting these calls!!!
they call my home..then 5 seconds later my CELL number! no one even has that number!! When i answer the phone, they say wait until someone can help me! next!!

No one is at the other end when we answer the call and they call multiple times almost every day.
This number belongs to FIA Card Services who handles Bank of America, Regions Bank, Wachovia, and several other banks' credit cards, loans, and lines of credits. If this number is calling you, there is a 95% chance that you are overdue on your account. The Do Not Call registry will not help, because you owe them money. The other 5% is miscellaneous maintenance such as a credit line increase offer or introduction to a new account that you have already opened. If you do not answer, they will continue to call each day on any numbers they have of yours until the account is up to date. You can ask them to take your number off, but it is probably easier to just pay your bill so that if so****ing comes up on your account, they can still contact you to let you know. They will call cell phones, house phones, business phones, car phones, Iphones, whatever. They will call morning, noon, and evening all week, and on the weekends. And yes, they are within their rights to do so. ( See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_Debt_Collec ... hibited_conduct )Obviously, they are not going to leave the fact that you are overdue on your answering ma****e or tell your boss or whatever, because that violates the law and I doubt you would want them to.If they keep asking for someone that you do not know and you never tell them it is the wrong number (by ****ing up or just letting them leave messages day after day), they will****ume you are the person they are calling for and continue to call.

August 28th 2008 12:15pm Yes, I also received a call from this number, they leave no message, and I am also on the "DO NOT CALL LIST" ! I find it very Annoying and wish they would Stop!
I got 2 calls 10 minutes apart on my cell phone. When I answer it i get a taped voice asking me to hold on for a customer service rep. As if!
Calling numerous times a day, does not leave a message
I own Chase money and they have been told repeatly I will pay them on the 15th of August. I don't know if this is them or not because the caller i.d don't say who is calling
They claim I owe money, on an B of A credit account. They try to get personal info and told me they were sending me to collections.
This scenario has happened every day for the last week. They make two calls to my work cell #. First they call and ask to speak to someone I do not know. I say "wrong number". Then they ask a different person that I also do not know and I say "still the wrong number". Then they **** up and a few minutes later they call back and we go through the drill a***n with two more names that I do not know.
I also got a call from them, noted on caller ID with no message. I called the number and after some conversation they needed my phone number to reference the reason the called. I gave it and was told it was a "welcome" call from the Bank of America Visa card that I applied for and was approved for. The person went on to say they wanted to make me aware of....including the low rate to make transfers. I said, I know all about it and don't need reminding. I asked to be put on a do not call list..after the person said, You don't want Bank of America ever calling about your account. Of course, this is another trick question..sure we want them to call if there is illegal activity or other bad stuff going on. This sure seems to be some low life company, though apparently hired by Bank of America. I don't get it and not sure what they are up to..I can not see it as anything good.
They call repeatedly and do not leave messages. When I call them back, an automated message says "Thank you for calling Card Services." and i am put on hold with music. I think it is a telemarketer.
i beleive that this is FIA Card Services aka Bank of America aka mbna.
called 2x/s yes****ay
I'M TIRED OF THESE PEOPLE CALLING ME. i WILL CALL THEM WHEN I AM READY! I GET SEVERAL PHONE CALLS FROM THEM IN A DAYS TIME EVEN AFTER PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE. ONE TIME HE INSISTED ON SETTING UP PAYMENTS BY PHONE EVEN AFTER I HAD SET UP PAYMENTS ON LINE. HE STATED THOSE DON'T SHOW UP. I WAS CHARGED 39 TO STOP THE PAYMENT BUT SAID SINCE IT WAS NOT MY FAULT THEY WOULD OVERRIDE THAT PAYMENT. GUESS WHAT?! IT'S STILL ON THERE EVEN AFTER I CALLED!
This is card services for MBNA, which now belongs to Bank of America. They are horrendous; they call me multiple times a day for two weeks out of every month. I've asked them to stop calling numerous times, as I have automatic payments, but every month they tell me I'm a month behind. I hate these ****s.
Continues to call even as late as 1330pm EST. Name blocked and when I call back does not answer their phone. Plus there is NO reson for anybody to have my cell number.
They have been calling several times a day for the last 3 weeks. they first call me cell phone, when I don't answer the immediatly call the house. I am not late on any bills. There is no reason to call me. I am on the do not call list.
when i pickup, they **** up
when i pickup, they **** up.
We get a call from this number almost daily.

This phone number has called my cell phone several times a day for several weeks now and will not leave a message. No name appears on my caller ID. I will not return the phone call for fear of phone fraud and waisting my minutes and time. 1-814-234-7657
I have read somewhere that if you press the # key numerous times on your phone keypad as soon as you pick up, it will *****-up their automated system and wipe your number from their data banks. Try it, I did.
Received call around 9am Dec. 14, 2007. Identified himself as Milton from Bank of America, and because my account there is in such good standing I qualified for their VISA card.
