Leave a CommentThis number called me four times this week! They called my cell phone and not once did I pick up since I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. What really scared me though is that they also called my house number! I have no idea how they got it since it's a PRIVATE number. They left a message on my house phone but not my cell phone. I really hope they stop calling! I never give out my number and this is what I get!
Got a call with no message
Got a call. No message left
Just got a call on my cell phone in the 510 area code. I do not answer calls from strange numbers
These people just called my cell a few minutes ago. I did not answer and they left no message.
robo call to cell phone
I keep getting calls from them. i wish there was a way to block their call altogether.
They call me all the time!! i hate it and they are now calling everyone at my house on their cell phones and to our house phone. The ones that always call are for the car warranty scam
calls about expired warranty for my car, but is not real.
https://www.donotcall.gov/register/reg.aspxRegister on the FEDERAL "DO NOT CALL LIST"It helps. Not for ALL telemarketers... but definitely for MOST!Just a thought.
This phone number called me, I never usually pick up the phone if I dont know the number and everyone knows, so they usually levae a message I seached the number and I found this...
I have gotten these on government phones and I am going to try to get our local OIG / Postal inspectors involved. they have some very cool toys and could make so****ing happen if they wanted too.Zaqwsach
When I first answered, it was about the auto warranty and I immediately ***g up. They call all the time and now I know not to answer.
I just received a call from them. I do not; however, answer calls from numbers that I do not know. If it is important, they can leave a message. These people didnt. I receive the same calls-- the same recordings - from numerous numbers constantly. I just wanted to comment on the suggestion of keeping these people on the phone for as long as you can. My whole family makes a game of this. When ANY telemarketer calls our house asking for someone, we tell them to hold on a minute while we get the person they are seeking... Then we sit the phone on the counter and walk away. We have had people waiting for up to half an hour before. Basically I learned a few years ago... the more of their time you waste.. the more money they lose and eventually, if everyone wastes enough of their time, they will not be able to fund these calls.
I am 16 and they called me on my cell phone. What the*****!
ok so here is what I heard. I have a friend who knows someone on the east coast who dials numbers for these people suppossedly. and from what he said, everytime someone presses 1 on the keypad, they get $0.50. no real reason they call I guess but imagine if the employees get 50cents for each person who presses 1... imagine how much money these people who run this get. this may not be complete fact, but it makes sense...? right?
This uninvited caller offers a warranty on my car that i have no interest in. The message is a prerecorded piece that is probably a s****ed caller id to conceal the true caller's originating number. I doubt you can help, but who knows!
Just got this call! a digitized voice offered warranty press one press two etc. it sounded s****y to me, I immidiatly gogled and found this page! thanks
Make sure to take 2 minutes of your time and since you're already online Fill Out an Electronic Form 1088G:https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do?form_page=1088G
This was an "expired automobile warranty" solicitation. This call did not, I repeat NOT, originate from any family residence in Fulton, IL. The real perps s****ed the CallerID information, which tells me that they are fraudsters and criminals. If you are ****** enough to blame the victims of CID s****ing and/or you are ****** enough to pay these people for an "extended car warranty," you deserve everything that your cluelessness is going to buy you.
PEOPLE. PEASE READ THE COMMENTS BEFORE POSTING!!!YOU MAY THINK THAT SOMEONE FROM ILLINOIS IS CALLING YOU.THEY DID NOT.SOME VICTIM'S PHONE NUMBER WAS S****ED ON A CALLER ID FOR A SCAM COMPANY.Important message to all those that have received a call from this number:The company making this call with an auto dialer is a known scam outfit. They s****ed phone numbers of victims all the time. Sometimes, they s**** non-working phone numbers. The phone number 815-589-4163 is just another victim of these s***bags. I've done a lot of research of this company. Actually, there are several affiliated companies, owned by the same people that try to scam innocent victims. One scam is about auto warranties. The other is about credit card debt relief. Their MO is the same. The use an auto dialer, and call thousands of random numbers. They have no regard to the do not call lists. Your demands or complaints are worthless. They will continue to call you. They will not remove you from their call lists. Why? BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAINTAIN ANY. THEY ARE CROOKS. THEY HAVE NO REGARD TO THE MANY LAWS THEY BREAK.If they call about a car warranty, the message says so****ing as "This is the second notice on your extended vehicle warranty. Press one now to speak to a representative..." The message about credit debt mentions "This is Account Services. We are calling to lower your credit card debt. Press one now to speak to a representative..."Here are the details of these do***ebags:Car Warranty Scam (two****ential addresses):VP Marketing4501 Circle 75 ParkwaySuite #A-1225Atlanta GA 30339They also show a new address in their help wanted ads:1820 Water Place PkwySte 255Atlanta GA 30339678-741-3188678-741-3189Credit Card Scam:Versadebt Corp.4501 Circle 75 ParkwaySuite #A-1225Atlanta GA 30339678-238-1300678-238-1349678-238-1351Both companies are listed with the Georgia Department of State. Here is how you can lookup their information: http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/CSearch.aspYou will find that the "Registered Agent" for VP Marketing is Kelly Lonas, 224 Ripple Creek Drive, Marietta GA 30060. The listed "Member/Manager" is James A. Sc***nholz at the 4501 Circle 75 Parkway address.Versadebt's Registered Agent is the same James A. Sc***nholz at the 4501 Circle 75 Parkway address. There is one additional name listed for Versadebt. The listed CEO, CFO, and Secretary is named Marvin ***, Jr. at the same address. In fact, Marvin *** may be the owner of all of these related companies. Here are some links to prove my research:Job listings for VP Marketing:http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobSeeker/Jobs/JobResults.aspx?ncc=^"VP+Marketing"$&cbRecursionCnt=1&cbsid=65cc3191c8ec4200beb8f180570269d1-267407999-RF-4&ns_siteid=ns_us_g_"vp_marketing"_atNotice the job listings for "Appointment Setter," "Qualification Representative," "Auto Warranty Specialist," and "Financial Representatives." Those are the idiots you get on the phone when you press "1" to speak to a representative after receiving their ILLEGAL recorded phone calls. Also, you can see many other job listings with similar ***les.Interestingly, if you view these help wanted ads, you will notice that their address and phone number are different from what is listed with the Georgia Department of State. They now list 678-741-3188 and 678-741-3189 as the phone number of Human Resources. IT IS PERFECTLY LEGAL TO CALL THEM AS THEY LISTED THEIR NUMBER IN A PUBLIC FORUM. Call them to find out more information about this company. You will need this in your complaints to the FCC, FTC, and your state Attorney General. You can call them to see if they offer Car Warranties or tell them you are interested in a lower interest rate. It is quite humorous to listen to their answers! Here are some details from RipOff Report. Pay particular attention to these as ex employees detail how they operate and how their scam works:http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/312/RipOff0312307.htmhttp://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/301/ripoff0301144.htmhttp://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/276/RipOff0276693.htmhttp://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/301/RipOff0301861.htmYou can learn much more about these do***ebags by performing a web search for "versadebt," and "vp marketing," or "heather from account services."NOW, WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THIS? You have two solutions:1) Speak to one of their customer service representatives. Pretend to be interested in either lowering your credit card interest rate or a car warranty. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY REAL INFORMATION. Give them a fake credit card number, a fake name, and a fake SS#. Tell them you own a Ferrari, or a 1937 Dodge (however, if you really own one of those two, tell them you own a Buick). Give a made up VIN number. If they ask for your name and phone number, give them the info for the person you hate the most.Your goal is simple. Keep them on the phone for as long as possible. Be friendly. Your goal is twofold. You want to learn as much as possible about them. They will refuse to give you a website, phone number, or maybe even a real company name. They will attempt to give you a generic name such as "Account Services," "Financial Services," or "Dealer Services." This is done for a reason, to throw you and the government off their tracks. Do not accept this. Keep pressing for info. You will need this (see below).EVEN BETTER IS IF YOU CAN RECORD THE CALL.Also, the time you take from them means them have less time to steal from someone who is unknowledgeable about their scams. They get paid to rip people off. Take away their time, and they make no money! I have kept them on the phone for up to 20 minutes! I realize that many of you do not have the time? But do you appreciate being taken advantage of?Ever hear of Scambaiting? That is what you are doing!!! There are many entertaining web sites on this topic. For example, see:http://www.419eater.com.2) YOU MUST REPORT THEM TO THE AUTHORITIES:FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION!Here is the link to file a complaint: http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htmFEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION:https://donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspxYou must also file a report with the Attorney General of your state. See the last link below to see how effective this can be.I file complaints a***nst Versadebt and VP Marketing every time I receive a call. If everyone that received a call from these low-life s***bags does the same, then the combined action of thousands of us can stop these crooks from scamming innocent people out of money. You may also try to write your congress perso****ditional information: This is what can happen if everyone were to complain!http://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2008/TRO_a***n ... all_violations/See the following press releases to see how effective your complaints can be:http://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2008/030608.htmhttp://ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2008/National_ ... filed_by_Nixon/http://ftc.gov/opa/2008/05/telephoney.shtm
