I have had the same number show up on my bill. This is too weird

I got the same problem.  Even if no one's dialing anything from home, 8156985809 still shows on our comcast call log.  I highly doubt the "voicemail" and the 1-815 solution.  That's only because I didn't even pick up the phone to dial anything to begin with.  I just talked to a comcast rep and she wrote a ticket about it as none of the calls made from my home to this number shows on my call activity on their end. They will log on to my account and look at it themselves.  I just have to wait for them to call me back for the result.

I live in the 630 area code and found the same number on my outgoing log.  It appeared just before a call we placed and forget to dial the 1-630 before the phone number.  I guess it's a northern Illinois number for that recording.

This number has been appearing on my Comcast OUTGOING call log online always when I am not at home and right before my husband uses the phone to call his friend in another state.  It always shows zero minutes.  I have not asked him about it because he would say he didn't know even if he did.  When I dial that same friend out of state, it does not appear on the outgoing call log. It's driving me crazy because my husband has issues that could certainly lead one to think that this is a ****-related number in some way.

LAB - 17 Apr 2008I finally have an answer! Do you remember when the c****e for the 815 area code took place where you have to dial 1-815 even when dialing from an 815 area code? If you don't dial 1-815 you get a message that says "You must dial 1 then the area code etc"   Comcast had to come up with so****ing to make their system works that way so they programmed the system to automatically dial 815-698-5809 to play that message if you forget to dial 1-815. We had just moved and didn't know that our water meter dialed automatically for our water bill. The meter had never been reprogrammed to dial 1-815. A comcast engineer was able to capture our records and see the number the meter was actually dialing as it happened. (The real # never shows on the call log because the call is never completed) It took Comcast a while to figure it out....but they did and in the end it wasn't their problem!  We all learned so****ing

When I moved and transferred my phone service w/ comcast I have been showing outgoing calls to this same number every 20 minutes since March 26th. When they check my account they can't see this activity but it appears on my call history when I check on line. I tried calling the number and the message says the number is not in service

I just got my comcast digital voice home phone service on 2.25.2008 and i have gotten calls placed to 815-698-5809 and i have not called.  I know they say that it is the voice mail, but i have never called my v mail form the house, only checked it on the internet.  What is going on here???
