They are a SCAM! They sent me a text saying that my card had been deactivated, so i called our bank and they said everything was fine with our cards. Dont call them!
I've received two text msgs from this number for me to call 817-260-0499 to reactivate my account... I didn't even call the number because I do not have an acct with Legacy Texas Bank...Even if you have an acct with them, DONT DO IT! This is obviously a scam because if your acct has been deactivated, you s/receive a call from the bank itself telling you that and the bank will have your name, address and other info. If they call u to confirm your acct, DONT DO IT! tell them u can only give them the last 2 digits of your acct because they should have the rest. C wht they say then...
text to call 817-260-0499 read in corrcet caps and punctuation as follows:: text Msg from:1234 message:Legacy Texas Bank Alert:Your CARD has been DEACTIVATED.Please contact us at 817-260-0499 to REACTIVATE your CARD Received on Sep 14, 09 :: end of text,,,,,probably SCAM,i do not have any business with legacy texas bank.
BEWARE...BIG SCAMI have had 2 text messages warning me that my account was about to be deactivated and urging me to call Legacy Texas Bank. Each one gave me a different number to call. When I called, I got a recorded message with an immediate request for me to give my 16 digit accnt. number. WHAT account number? I did not recognize the company so when the recording requested personal information I immediately suspected a SCAM. BEWARE... this is obviously an attempt for some poor soul to plug in any 16 digit credit card account numbers to a seedy scam. IGNORE ALL REQUESTS is my advice. The phone numbers given for me to return their text were: 817 260 0499 and 877 275 5094.
