Leave a CommentIt IS Ft. Worth 911. I happened to call 911 but cancelled my call. I think it's good to know my call DID go thru cause after all, cause an attacker might just have grabbed phone... I appreciated the call back
It is fort worth 911. Your phone would have to have dialed 911 for us to call you back. However, we are human and can make mistakes dialing.
It seems highly unlikely that 911 just happened to randomly call everyone in the middle of the night. Sounds very su****ious to me. Why wouldn't they leave a message or try to call back?
The number (817) 924-7550 does belong to 911.I work for a company where I operate a PBX phone system. I placed a call on hold while I grabbed another call. Once I finished one of the calls, I was getting ready to dial out when I was interrupted by a visitor at my desk. I immediately ***g up, but remembered dialing 9 + 1. The visitor left my desk and I picked the call up that I had on hold. A few minutes later, the phone s****ed beeping in my ear because (817) 924-7550 was calling on the other line. Instead of answering the call, I thought I would let it go to voicemail. The caller did not a message. Instead they called back a few minutes later. I answered and they said they were 911. They asked what my emergency was and asked me to verify my address. I told them that I accidently dialed them. After that, I went down to the PBX in the computer room and printed a report that actually showed I had accidently dialed 911.
Same thing happened to me that happened to Susn above! My call was @ 5:39 AM. Because the phone (Sprint) went into emergency mode, I couldn't get on the Internet. Did a battery pull & it reset everything. Strange!
