I received a phone call from Pay Phone number 818-239-1445. They left the following official sounding message: "Hello. We have been trying to reach you. This call is an official notice from IRS, Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing law suit a***nst you. To get more information from this case file, please call immediatley on our department number 202-239-5409. I repeat 202-239-5409. Thank you." I will not be calling them back. The IRS mails notices!

Received call from this number, checked with IRS and have not yet heard back. See the first comment and feel better. Besides the IRS is suppose to notify you other ways not a phone call. Than you Rebecca Hussey.

This number called me stating they were from the IRS Crime Investigation Dept. This is a total scam! They have an accent as if they are from India, but state their name is John Morrison. They also stated they have a legal affidavit concerning my name and social security number. DO NOT RESPOND to this number or call the number they may leave on your voicemail. These people are looking to steal money from your bank account. It didn't happen to me luckily because I had already heard about the scam.

Got a call this evening. All I heard was a recorded woman's voice "Goodbye".

My wife got a call from this number this morning, the voice all but inaudible, but they asked for her by name, and asked if we had a computer. Could not understand anything else they said, asked, etc.
