I left a message (complaint) above about these people and have some good news. THIS IS DEFINITELY a scam. With the tough economy we are living in right now, these people are bound to get a hold of many people who do owe money. Of course, with the recession many of us are not paying our bills on time so these scammers are using this as an opportunity to scare people like us into thinking we owe money. They called my cell several times. When I attempted to call the # that flashed on my caller ID, the recording on the other end said that the # was no longer valid. I waited for them to call me back, and this time, I picked up. A man with a very heavy accent (perhaps middle eastern?) said that I owed I a lot of money and that if I did not pay, they knew where I worked and lived and they would be sending someone to my home to “investigate” and eventually drag me to court/jail. First of all, it does not matter what you owe. No creditor is EVER supposed to make those threats. What I found funny was that these people s****ed talking without ever verifying that I was really the one they were looking for. Creditors, by law, cannot even leave personal messages unless they have verified that you are really who need to speak with. What I did: After I got ****ed off at all the phone calls, I waited for another call. When they called, I picked up and told them that the call was being recorded. I proceeded to tell them that I contacted the FTC, local police and the CIA. (I believe these people are from India running sort of large scam located in India or here.) What they are doing is extortion. No one, under and cir***stance should call you to extort money—whether or not you owe any money. So, I also called my uncle who is a cop. I told him what happened and he said the calls should stop after that last call where I made it clear that I was on to their game and that I would be reporting them. That was around 11 am PST. I haven’t received any calls. UNDER NO CIR***STANCES SHOULD ANYONE PROMISE TO PAY, PAY OR FAX THESE PEOPLE ANYTHING. SERIOUSLY. OH, AND PUT FRAUD ALERTS ON ALL YOUR ACCOUNTS.

A caller who identified himself as Moses Saul called from this number and left a message on my supervisor's phone at my job.  When I returned the call, I was informed that owed a whole bunch of money and was about to be sued and taken to court tomorrow. Told me "Good Luck with the court date".  They tried to get personal information from me and even called the name of my sister in law.  I was bothered by this call, because they had my bank information.

I just got the same call (first time today)...no idea who these people are but I am ignoring it and have made my bank aware in case they try to do so****ing they will be reported as fraud.  It was a male with the noise and accent as all the other people on this site.  I do wonder how they get our info though...it must be a pop-up or so****ing from a website we thought was trusted.  Any clues out there?

someone should do so****ing about this things are tough enough with out putting up with this.

i keep getting called from 1-***-961-8518 telling me to call 1-818-338-5069 they claim if i dont contact them a team of investigators will show up at my door and arrest me...this has to stop what can i do?

All of you please read carefully!!! This guy or guys are committing iden***y theft big time.  I too got a call but from totally different numbers, threatening me. They had ALL my info , bank account numbers, social security number, address, workplace.  Please, Take action now, close your account, contact the police, FBI, FTC, Attorney General immediately.  We have to stop this now!

Received a call from ***-961-8518 syaing that I had to return their phone call or the police will come to my property (they said my correct address) and take me to court.  They also said good luck but I needed to call back to get out of trouble.  About 3 messages have been left to call 818-338-5069.  I have not called them back

I received a call today 6-23-09.  From ***-961-8518 from a man named "Shawn" he said there was some legal action a***nst me and that I needed to call 818-338-5069.  I felt uneasy about the call and typed in the number which led me here.  I am glad I am not alone on this and hopefully with all of our complaints and calls and letter to our local commissioner's offices these people can be STOPPED!!

I just got a call today from this company. Indian sounding guy named: Eric Fonseca. VERY loud noise in the background. I couldn't understand him at all. He threatened me with crazy lawsuits and he even called me work. I am freaked out. Do not know if I should call back or what. They called my cell AND my work. It's very creepy. The thing is, I do have some debts but nothing so big where somebody could be calling my work and cell and harrassing me.

***. I am sooo happy that I am not alone in this, yet mad that these people are trying to scam all of us. The Indian sounding guy really had me thinking of any and all debts I may owe. I couldn't think of any that I owed on that I wasn't already paying off. He said he wanted to speak with me or my attorney and I was thinking to myself this doesn't sound right.

I received the first phone call last week from some guy named Shawn (heavy Indian accent)could not understand anything he said because there was alot of noise in the background he stated that I needed to call back because there is a complaint with my name attached to it.  He stated that if I or my attorney did not call back all he could do is wish me good luck.  The number that he left is 818-338-5069. Total calls I have received from him is 5 since Thursday of last week.

Of course I am receiving the same calls. I called the loan places I borrowed from and they helped me and they said to ignore the calls.  My call came from ***-961-8518 and she said to call 8183385069. Do not respond to these fools record all calls so you can report their harassment!

I am getting a message from the number 818-338-5069.  He doesn't speake good English.  I got the same message from the same person last week but they left different numbers to call back and different names.  I called the first time they left a message and they said I owed over $1,000 on a $200 payday loan that I didn't even get.  I am sick and tired of theme calling me now.

I received a call from "cyber crime division" with a 810-673-773 and they said that there has been a complaint made a***nst me and I was being investigated for an international crime for Money laundry through my bank account from someone on line and that I’m looking to serve some time for it and it’s been a long term investigation that they had been doing. I ask them who is there legal advisor they gave me some name and this number 818-338-5073, their company license number, a point of contact? company name? what were my charges? and they will be hearing from my lawyer and they ***g up the phone Hmmmm! wonder why. If they were so real they would not call you on the weekend heck they would not call you at all they would just show up to your house or job or whatever it takes to have you arrested (IF THEY WERE REAL!)I will find them soon or later and they will face REAL legal problems there selves..............

someone called and said I need to call them or I and two of my friends (which they named-scary!) would be picked up by their officers and dragged to the courthouse if I did not return their call.  They were hard to understand with the broken english they spoke however, it did scare me.  It also ****ed me off to know they had access to two of my friends names and used them as a scare tactic.  I could not sleep! Please I hope someone is investigating them and inventually throw their a.....in jail!!!Just please w***ver gets these calls do not call back with any information.  They had enough on me already and its amazing they did but also scary as to what they will do with the information and how they knew it!!

Someone from this number #810-673-6353 (a guy) Indian with bad english, who said his name was Larry King, left a message saying I would be sorry if I didn't call him back Immediately, and he felt sorry for me. I called the number back on my caller ID and it was a diconnected number.So I called the number #818-338-5069 that the Indian guy, so called "Larry King", left me on the message; and I got an Indian woman with broken english. There was a lot of noise in the backround. I asked her what this was all about? She said they were a law firm. When I asked her who she was working for, it took her about 20 seconds to reply then she said "Crime Monitoring" and if my last four digits of my social security were ####. I said no, but the scary thing was she was right about the social digits, but I wasn't going to tell her that. This was screaming scam all over it when I was on the phone for those couple of seconds. After that she ***g up. Anybody getting this call needs to understand: its a scam, tell your family and friends about it so that they don't fall for it, call the FTC or your lawyer, if they call a***n tell them you are recording the message and sending it to the FBI. They'll probably c****e there number after that. Like they have been doing for awhile. If you look on the other websites with the number # 714-333-2951; people are saying the exact same thing we are. These scammers spend all day waiting for someone to give them even a $100 payment. That's enough for these scammers who are forwarding their calls from a third world country saying they're based out of Anaheim, CA. (A Fraud!) They even give an address based out of The City of Anaheim, which is the "Mayors office".(A Fraud!) A $100 payment each day goes a long way for these ****s. Thats why they give the same lines over and over a***n til some old lady falls for it.I am livid!

m husband got many calls like that too on my cell phone and mine also. very rude people that can't speak a word of english. he s****ed to cuss at them, and said if they send someone out to our house that he would kick their**** ,they got mad and ***g up on him. he's tried many times to call back but now they won't answer him!! i did the same on my phone and they quit. but the only thing that bothers me is that they have all of my husbands information including his ss number!! i'd like to know who these people are too!!

received several call this week wed&THUR,FROM A AFRICAN AMERICAN PERSON WITH A LOT OF NOICE IN THE BACKROUND AND ALSO i RECIEVED SEVERAL CALLS AT MY JOB THE LAST ONE WAS ABOUT 20 MINUTES AGO TELLING ME A COMPLAINT WAS MADE A***NST ME.i ACTED LIKE i WAS SOMEONE ELSE TO TRY AND GET MORE INFO.THE PERSON STATED THERE NAME WAS PETER BEAN FROM THE LAWFIRM.818-338-5069. i AM BEING HARRASSED AND WISH IT TO PLEASE STOP. PLEASE FIND OUT WHO THIS IS. I will loose my job if they keep calling. also they give me no indication as to why they are calling me.I do believe it is a case of iden***y theft.they know two much about me.I am a single parent with 2 children and it is scary

Received 4 calls on voice mail from African-sounding male with alot of noise in the background.  The calls were left on my home phone.  The calls were made on a Wed & Thursday from the same number listed in this complaint.  The same male called my work number 3 times.  I could not hear him all 3 times.  Finally I told him to call back when he was in a quieter place; the music and noise level was making his voice inaudible.  He left the same number listed.  He said I had 24 hours to respond or an official complaint would be filed.  I called the number back from my cellular phone and no one answered.  I feel stalked and mislead.  I reported via my attorney and via this web site.  No one should receive unwanted calls at work and not a constant calling from no-english speaking persons.

I received a number of calls at my work and I told them to call my cell and they refused.  They told me I owed so****ing and they would not tell me from where.  I asked them what the problem was and they would not tell me htey were rude and would tell me good luck.  He said it was a set amount and said some investigation team would come to our house.  He then said by tommorrow it would be 5x the amount.
