Dude you know it's $750 per song you download. So you are liable for that money. The RIAA will sue you, obtain a judgment, and execute on your****ets. So you are wrong.

Just got a call from this number on my cell (dont know how they got my cell number). I never picked up and they didnt leave a voice message.

I had a similar string of calls with only one message stating "urgent confidential personal matter call back immediately" and some reference number that isn't any of my accounts. There was another string of no message calls from a different number which I looked up on a helpful page like this and someone said it was in connection with the LA times. I've only ever bought 2 subscriptions to the paper and they were both donations to high schools for charity. I paid in full up front (it was CHARITY). If they think that they are owed so****ing for some reason, then they're crazy. I would never resubscribe to them, and certainly not now. And they wonder why their business is hurting? I can't imagine the "debt" they're trying to collect for the cost of a subscription I didn't renew can be so valuable that it would be worth it to make some person call me over and over. Keep calling. See if I care.

That would be if it is a consumer collection item.  Business collection calls are governed by the UCC and you can call as many times as you like as long as you hve a legitimate reason to call.  Owing money is a legitmate reason.

I keep getting calls from this company.  Sorry dumb*****, I filed bankruptcy in October, should have filed your papers in time.  Now you are s**t out of luck.  Contact my attorney.  Hahahahahaha....idiots.

DEX phonebook company puts you in their phonebook. no contract, not even in the right catagory and yet expects you to pay them? They lie, cheat, and steal. These calls are coming from a debt colector who is beyond rude. Telling me to pay in full or get sued. I welcome them to sue me since my case was already taken over by the Fl State Attorneys office for fraud. DEX is being sued by many people for this same fraud problem.

Yes this is a DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY!! Do NOT let them scare or intimidate you. They make it sound like they are from the FBI and you will be in prison the rest of your life on this earth. My situation was me being sued by a record company for downloaded songs off limewire as well....WHEN I WAS 17!!! I am now almost 23 needless to say... The funny and pathetic thing is they passed a law back in decemeber where record companies are not allowed to pursue people anymore for that...it was in the wall street journal. It was a joke of a situation. They were suing kids, single moms, even a dead lady (they pursued her family). I considered letting it go and if it came to a small claims court i would sit back while the judge laughed it off as i am in no financial situation to pay a settlement of $300,000.00 However I dont want anything like that on my record. I now have the RUDEST lady working on my case and i actually typed up a pretty little letter and faxed it to them requesting that she did not have any contact with me and i would mail my monthly payments and leave me alone!!!! They threaten and threaten and like i stated, you will feel like you just committed a ****ndous crime but you can only pay what you can pay and if you decide to work with them before they file any judgements (because unfortunately they can) all you have to send is ten bucks a month and they cant turn your case over becuase you are making an attempt. Good luck if youre having to deal with the same headache and remember ***ody else is having to deal with this mess anymore!!!!

Called cell referring to a case number. Caller I.D showed 000000000, meaning blocked. Said "Please call back Bernie Cason regarding personal business matter, I hope to resolve this amicably. Ref #4154722 call 818-251-1762 est 226". My envelope stated the caller was from 818-347-2700. I looked it is fraud, and a scam.

A vanessa called me from this lawfirm, she was very nice and helped me settle out an account I had not been able to pay for a year. She even faxed me do***entation for my records that way I wont have to pay anything in the future. I looked them up before I paid them and the are with the commercial law leauge of america and they do legal and sue businesses that dont pay bills.Just so you all know it is a ligit company. Thanks.

This is from a collection agency Caine & ****** that collects for several companies including the Los Angeles Times.  Ask the agent for their name and then tell them to cease calling  --  according to the Fair Dept Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), they must honor your request and stop calling.  If the calling contines, you may be able to collect $1500 per FDCPA violation.

There is a "Vanessa Ellis" there who called our company, I'm not kidding you, every 15 seconds.  Everyone in the office was screaming at her to please STOP calling.  She has no ***in whatsoever!  She told us she'd s**** calling us the next day by 8am and won't stop calling til she can speak to someone, because it's "her job", she works for Crane & ******.  We did file a complaint with the FTC!!!  And we faxed a big complaint letter to her company.  Hope she got in trouble for that.  There's another lady named "Melissa ****er" who s****ed calling, not sure if it was "Vanessa".. I am sure they make up their names.  Beware, they are not too professional over there.

This guy would not give me his name and said that I owe a bill from pitmen bowl (sp) I had not had that account for over 2 years and it wa on a month by month and I sent the stamp mashsion (sp) back .he said I stll have account with them.you can file with FTC agianst them .

The lady Cindy is the one who's left messages on my cell...all the message ever says is her name, she's called several times and expects a call back, leaving the phone number. She doesn't say what company, and I get the same thing if i call back. all operators are busy....never a name of a company or anything. But it's interesting how her message only ever says she's called several times. even the first message i got...and i've only got a few. But I've had a ton of calls.     The weirdest thing is that the caller id shows 000-000-0000 as the number when they call.

I received a call from a Sal on behalf of Crane & ****** regarding my daughter.  After a few minutes into the conversation the  _ _ _ hole not only cursed me out but ***g up the phone stating he would be sending my daughter to the attorneys to take further action.  Apparently they are a collection agency.  I am so angry at the gull of this idiot.  I had previously made an arrangement with someone else to take care of this bill just two weeks prior.  I am glady because I now wonder if this company is really exists.

Apparently they are collection agency for a law firm called Crane & ******.  Someone downloaded music from lime wire and apparently shared the songs.  I'm 19 and a college student.  Now they want to take me to court.  Why don't they take limewire to court.  People pay for a year to be able to hear music yet we the little people are the victims.

THis number called a number of times.  The women on the phone was extremely rude.  I got so angry I cursed at her lol.  *** how annoying..

Left a message regarding some case number. Returned the call and 'all representatives were busy'. Awaiting a call back. From what I've learned, they're a collection agency, but it doesn't make any sense. Unless I'm a victim of iden***y theft, there's no way I'm in debt. I'm only 17! No credit cards, no subscriptions, no anything. Sounds like some sort of scare-you-out-of-your-money scam to me.

I didn't pick up the call but called back the number from a different phone. Got a recording saying that all representatives are busy right now and to leave my name and number.

Called another family member and do not know how they got number. Call and only leave their number without he reason or subject of call.

They called once an hour for four hours the other day.  They never left a message, so I never picked up or called back.
