Leave a CommentLets put this to rest. Its a scam pure and simple. People, please disregard and ignore anyone calling and representing themselves as a dea (or any other type of federal or law enforcement agent).YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR. This is completely fake and NOTHING will happen to you or your family, These ****s have absolutely no power over you whatsoever unless you let them by falling for their nonsense. If you have the gumption, try and keep them on the line as long as possible. Make-up any information they are requesting from you on the spot. Keep them talking, pretend you are scared and maybe, you will be able to obtain mailing addresses, real phone or fax numbers, or any other information you can use to****ist the REAL authorities in apprehending these fools. If you're not in the mood for any of their games, remind them that impersonating a federal officer or agent is a felony and watch how quickly they will disappear! Rest easy and think to yourself that this type of call is utter BS. Take control and tell these guys where to go!It is very important to file an FCC complaint anytime you receive calls like this. If enough complaints are registered, eventually these calls may stop.https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.actionBelow is a list of other (or perhaps the same) DEA scammers. Read through and cross-post these numbers anywhere or anytime these ****s call with a new number.http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-202-239-0426http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-212-203-0026http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-410-929-8358http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-518-772-0856http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-617-252-8207http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-617-334-9371http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-202-239-8744http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-305-907-8669http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-856-368-9155http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-301-825-5027http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-443-478-9016http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-617-252-8207http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-805-351-3556http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-424-901-0921http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-301-825-5013US Department of Justice, DEA Website: Extortion Scams:http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubs/pressreleases/extortion_scam.htm
Got a similar call, too from 'Officer David Murph or Murphy.' He reports he with the DEA, and it is about an ongoing drug investigation, DEA, Unit 38.Others report it is a total scam and just ignore it.I've had a couple of similar calls from other individuals over the past +-6-months. The other caller names and numbers seem to c****e, but the 'story' does not. Nor does the voice of the man who calls- ever c****e. It is the same man, regardless of what name and phone number he gives you, this time. Many others have written that the caller tries to con you into sending large sums of money to him, or that he will come and arrest you for buying medications off the internet. It's a total shake-down. No real DEA agent would do such a thing. It's a total scam. Just ignore him.
Caller States to avoid arrest we must pay a fine
