Claimed he would send me a check for the asking and $80 over to hold it for him. I sent him a screen **** of the other complaints on this website. Thanks for the heads up!

Posted my puppies on Craigslist and throw number responded wanting to send cashiers check and 80 to hold puppy so I responded with a fake message saying he just agreed to pay for illegal activities and the cops now had his number . I sent his the local pd address to send check too lol

Saying he’ll send a cashier check without even asking about what I’m selling

Scammer! Give him a random address and let him waste his $$ sending his fake cashier's checks via Fed Ex.

Tried to scam with cashiers check

Checked here too late. Scenarios described in other posts here are identical to my experience. I'm out about $1500.

I posted an item on Craigslist- he wanted to buy it and send a cashiers check with extra money to hold it. Tried to call him and he said he can’t pick up because he is at work.

Responded to my post about a toilet on Craigs List. He said he would send a cashier's check for asking price plus $80 over to hold it for him until he picked it up.

Said he wanted to buy an oven I placed on Craigslist. Said he would send a cashiers check for $80 over the $100 listed amount so I would hold it til his movers arrived in two days. I knew this was a fraud and asked to call him and he said he is hearing impaired and can only text. Would not provide a moving company name or his location.

Wanted to buy my car from craigslist. Asked for my name and address to send cashiers check by Towne Bank. Received it through fedex for nearly twice as much as I requested for my car. Took it to pls to verify if check was fraud or legit they kept the check and printed a copy verifying it was a scam/fraudulent item.

For my craigslist item, someone has messaged, “ I will mail a cashiers check for the asking price and i will add an additional $80 so you will hold it for me till i pickup. text me ur name and mailing address so we can proceed.” When I replied that I need only cash, another message said, “ i can only send a cashiers check“.

Tries to pay for "items" with Fake Cashiers Checks. They WILL CLEAR, and then a week later you will have an officer at your door to collect.
