Leave a CommentI believe this to be a Scam with an (800) #. The text read that my Apple Account was being charged on my name for $449.99 & gave me a security phone Number to call. The Indian Accented man on the line got my name & Zip #. Is that enough to get into any of my account & get my money? I told him that I thought he was a scammer. He said he would give me by Email (another bit of my personal info) his full name, Employee’s ID #, full address, an phone# to call & any info I asked for to verify his legitimate identity. I did not give him my Email. Then, his voice became gargled & I told him about it being suspicious & possibly being also a scammer’s trick. After that the call dropped & that was it. But, is that all, is that the end? Can I be robed out of my savings still? I don’t know but hope not!
I believe the may be a scam. He claimed to be from Apple Support & that I was being charged $449.99 on my Apple account by scammers. I still believed this was a scam even if I was told that they would give me full access of their information for verification like employee ID#, full name, address & other #s to call verification. After a while on the phone with his Indian Accented Voice, it became gargle. I told him this & that this may also be a scammer’s tactic to cover their behind. Then, the line dropped & all ended there. But did it? He has my name & zip code. Is that enough to get my money & into my accounts?
