No party on line when I pick up

caller id says nynex   like the phone book

i got a call from this number but no one was on the other line.  i also jsut c****ed my phone number YES****AY to a new one so NO ONE has this yet.

stop them from calling me!!!

Received several calls for 845-426-7073. When I answered once they immediately ***g up. I called the number back and twice it sound like there was someone dialing another number after a wierd click. What's that all about.

this morning at 9:14a, a call from 845 425 7073 came in; caller id said "N,ynex" and a recorded message from the infamous Verizon female robot said so****ing about wnating to provide excellent service, please press 1 to speak with a rep; I did press 1 and got silence, then a **** up.  I redialed the number and my line was immediately taken over to what seemed to be an international call, given the number of digits being dialed.  i ***g up immediately, believing i had unwittingly allowed my line to get highjacked.  beware.  i called verizon, who was unable to trace the number.
