got a text at 6:28 last night about "my" locked credit union debit card and to call 8457659464 to reactivate.  Not a member of a credit union, never have, probably never will.

My husband received the same message last night. Luckily, I work in a bank & knew it was a scam...but we also live in Cincinnati...so why would we have a debit card through New York?? ****** scammers!!!!

Received call via cell phone with locked up debit card warning, called number and entered fake 16 digit card number and it was recognized as fake number.

yea got the text ye****ay and thought it was a scam. i'm in the 516 area code as well. is it just localized here?

Received a text from saying Access was limited.  Call to reactivate.

Just received this on cell phone! We don't have an ATM debit card through the ins***ution it claims.

Received text telling me my Credit Union Debit Card was locked and giving me a number to call.  I called the number and got an automated voice directing me to enter my 16 digit debit card number.  Clearly a scam - tried to enter a fake number to see what else it would ask for but there must be a format to the number because it recognized it as invalid.

Have any credit union employees created a fraud alert message for membership yet???  Would love to see a sample...

We have ATM card customers reporting receiving this text as well.  Clearly a phishing attack.
