I just got a call from this number, asking me to contact my next-door neighbors (who I don't even know) and ask them to return the phone call.  When I asked "how did you get my name and number," a guy named "Nick" said he used "a search."  What a sleezy practice.  I'm really upset to think ANYONE can access my personal information so easily.

I worked at Finco.  We call people 5-6 times a day until we get an anser.  They had me search for relatives and neigbhbors to leave messages usinng a program called accurint.  Horrible place to work.  Told to do anything to get a customer to pay.  They record your calls without telling you.

The name of this company is American Finco.  They are located in Schaumburg, Illinois.  I strongly urge anyone who has received the same type of call from them to file a complaint with the BBB for improper collection practices.  The web address for the proper BBB office is  https://chicago.app.bbb.org

Got a call today from this number.  They wanted me to give my sister (who lives 200 miles away) a message because he had been trying to call and the number has been busy.  He tried to come accross like he was a friend of hers.  When I asked who it was, and what the call was in reference to, he didn't want to tell me his last name and said it was a personal business matter he couldn't discuss with me.  I asked for his supervisor and he put some woman on the phone who asked me what I needed to know her name or what company she was working for?  I told them sorry I couldn't pass on their message and ***g up on them.  I then called back the number and the same woman answered.  I asked for the name of the company and told her I knew the reason why she wouldn't give it to me was because they were a shady collection agency.  These people should be ashamed of their tactics!!!

Woman calling herself "Rebecca" called and left message saying the call was regarding someone I knew a LONG time ago.  I called back and spoke with another woman, who did not give her name, and she said she would have to take "Rebecca" the message.  Asked for my home number.  I called back a***n and got the voice mail of this Greg person.  Left message.  Still no response.  This all seems very strange.
