Person called wanting to simply verify employment history for a former employee, who had just quit 2 months prior. They asked the employee's start date, end date, if employee provided notice of resignation and if they were re-hirable in my office. They even provided me my former employee's name.

The caller left the following voicemail..."****o my name is Phyllis and I'm from Accurate Background. We received the verification from the work number for Douglas bonita(?) but we are looking to reverify some of the information. Please return our call at 844-896-1008. Again we are calling to re verify the verification is received. Please return our call at 844-896-1008 and reference order number 23044118. Thank you." Difficult to understand.

It’s legit .. referral check for past employee.

They called 5 times just today saying they were looking to do an employment verification on someone who worked for us many months ago (who’s since been terminated). We continued to tell them to contact HR if they had questions about former employees, but we kept getting calls.

The caller had a very strong accent and was too difficult to understand. I called the number back and spoke to another person with a strong accent who eventually disconnected our call.

They have contacted our store on multiple days in a row asking for personal information as well as asking for persons EIN and our stores personal information which lead us to believe they were potentially trying to hack our systems and obtain customers personal information.

Says from Accurate Background check, looking for employment verification. Unable to provide my company's real name only our nickname. He wanted me to provide private information for our HR/corporate staff.

Heavily accented caller claiming to want to verify a previous employee who never worked here then starts asking for information on the company. These people are scammers trying to gather info
