Your intellegence level must make you a democrat.  Just sayin!  AND it isn't the "cops" calling...It is a phone service.  Maybe you should be informative, instead of just ignorant!

The call was probably from a fund raising company. It is illegal in most cases for Police & Fire Departments to solicit donations in Illinois. Always ask if the person on the phone is a Police or fire official. The answer is more than likely NO. Then as what percentage of any donation goes to the Police or Fire Department. 10% - 30% is not unusual.

Got a call from these guys on my work phone, s****ed "it is very dangerous out there."  Then proceeded to tell me that they are collecting $$ for their children's identification program.  When I told him I had customers, he said he could wait because the "children really need the money."  I hit the mute ****on on my phone and set it aside.  After 5 min the guy ***g up.

This is some police****ociation. First off, they s**** their s***ch with "it's very dangerous out there". I said "maybe in your neighborhood. It's nice where I live. You must be a republican because the fear tactic is straight out of their handbook."Then I politely asked this guy to take me off his marketing list. He carries on, saying "that's not all we do". I said "I don't care, take me off your list". And he continued on with his shpiel. I guess the cops don't have to observe telephone privacy laws.

Unknown.  The ****s, never answer my questions and they never stay on the phone long enough to listen to ask them to take me off

These guys called me then ***g up when I asked them who they were.  The line was busy when i called back several times.
