It is in fact, CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacies calling to confirm your specialty prescription. You are often asked your birthdate to confirm the prescription. It’s all above board.

Just got a call on my cell phone. Not recognizing the number I did not answer. A voicemail message was left. When I looked at the voicemal to press to hear the message I noticed the call was classified by Sprint as "unknown." A foreign voice called my cell leaving a message for my daughter stating they needed to discuss "current insurance to get a few details to go ahead with your processing." We don't use CVS as our pharmacy. We did not initiate anything.

This number called requesting my birth date.

This is CVS Caremark Specialty Pharmacies calling, and it's not a collection call or a sales call.  They're calling to verify your prescription information before sending the script out.
