I just received a fraudulent voicemanl from 847-***-1936. The message stated "This is Bob calling from the fraud prevention department regarding your credit card account. We're calling to verify recent activity. If you could please return our call at 1-800-955-9060. Our office is open 24 hours a day and anyone may****ist you. We do just ask that you have your credit card available when you return our call." I'll be contacting my bank but not these scam artists!
I received a call today from this number. They claimed they were calling from Chase Credit Card Fraud Division, and said they were investigating a fraud claim. She had my business name wrong and business city wrong too. It was very su****ious. I didn't give her any identifying information, and suspect it wasn't a legitimate call.
Received a call from this number on my CELL phone: automated message saying they were calling about a problem with my credit card and to press 1 to be connected with an operator, or 2 to be removed from their list. I connected to 1, because we were actually having a problem with our credit card just then, and i thought it was the credit card company calling me back. It turned out to be a solicitation call to "lower my interest rate" on my credit card. I asked, "Are you calling from my credit card company?" she repeated the "we are helping people lower the credit card interest rate." I said, "Is this a sales call?" and she repeated her phrase a***n. I said "Absolutely do not call our number a***n." she ***g up. My husband got called on HIS cell phone today with the same "offer." Who are these people?? And how do they get our cell numbers? We are ALREADY registered with the Do Not Call list for our home AND our cell numbers.
I received call also from this # and live in SE FL.. They did not leave message but am glad to see its Chase b/c I have both Chase and Washington Mut. accounts.
I just received a call from this number today and didn't answer. It simply showed the phone number on my caller ID and no name since it was too my cell phone. No message was left and when I called the number back it said it was Chase Bank. I do not have any accounts with Chase nor have I ever had any so I'm****uming it's either a sales call or a fraud call. There's an option to add your number to their do not call list so I went ahead and did that. Let's see if they stop calling or if my phone number gets sold to a million others, lol.
My boss received a call from this number and they said they were with CountryWide Fraud division and they needed to verify some information. Sounded fishy to me, so I called the number on the Country Wide website and they said there was no reason for me being contacted by the Fruad Dpt.
I think it is good they check if it is a safe number
caller said his name was Greg and was calling with the MSN Fraud division. He just wanted to confirm some info. I ***g up and registered my cell at: https://www.donotcall.gov/
