Leave a CommentCaller from 406-8582-8001, a Montana area code, claimed to be Financial Consulting Services authorized by "all of the banks in your state" to lower your interest rate. Didn't want me to call my bank or my credit card. He said he was calling from Orlando Florida. He sounded like he was from India. I said the connection was bad. He called back from an unknown number. I led him on hold as long as I could, about 55 minutes then he put me on hold. I ***g up. Another call came from this number 850-387-0474. caller claimed to be a supervisor. He called me a "f**king a** hole" and ***g up. It stinks of phish from the s****.
Caller claimed they were with Chase Bank offering to lower Credit Card rates for customers who had at least a $3500.00 balance on their Credit Card. I refused to give out personal info and the Caller kept reading me scripted lines until I finally ***g up. About an hour later the Caller called my home and left a rather **** message on my Voice Mail. The Caller sounded like he was from the Middle East (very heavy accent.) The Caller said that it wasn't nice for me to **** up on his face and it wasn't good for me or for American Citizens to treat people this way. He said he was very angry and that I need to read on the Internet or read a book on how to treat people. The call ended by him saying that my account would be closed in 2 minutes and 5 seconds max. I called Chase and reported the call and gave them the number the Caller called from the first time and the number the Voice Mail came from.
Just happened to me. I knew it was a scam because he said it was because of making my last 6 payments ontime, I qualified. LOL He then asked me the balance of my credit card. I said, wait a second, you just told me you were from Chase...you should know the balance. I told him that I thought it was a scam and ***g up. He had the ***** to call me back, even more beligerent than before. I a***n told him I wasn't interested. He said that he was cancelling all of my cards and they were all due and payable within a week. He said if I didn't pay, he would bankrupt me. LOL
I concur with the statements above. I received a call, and was still very hesitant, but they had so much fianacial ial information I thought they were from the bank. As I was waiting for another call to verify, I went online and s****ed to do some research and one thing I did was type in the phone number in google search which eventually led me here. After reading, it was not hard to put 1 and 1 together. I asked the man if there was a fee, he s****ed with some sales pitch. It was at this point I told him I was not interested and not to bill me for any sevices. Then at this point the man was loud and I think he was trying to tell me I had agreed, which I never agreed to anything. Here I figured once I told the guy on the othe end I wasn't interested it would end. I could call the credit card company and make sure no billing from the said company. In the end after hearing the man with his voice raised the way it was, I ***g the phone up and called my credit card company and closed the account for fear of any billing from the said company.May 18th 2010

Received a call regarding reducing my VISAs and Mastercards interest rates to 6%. The person was very hard to understand. At the beginning, the person calling led me to believe the call was from my VISA card at HSBC. Then this person s****ing giving me the last four digits of all my VISAs and Mastercards and said those interest rates could also be reduced. At no time was there a mention of charging my account. Then I received a call from a person confirming that I'd like to reduce my interest rates and then during that call was told that my HSBC would be charged $1200 (one time charge). I said no and said I'd check regarding the gist of the call. I am still getting calls but don't answer.
Claimed would reduce credit card rate for a one time $800 fee. Said they worked for the bank then claimed they work to for a company to save people from being charged by the bank. After declining they said they would charge the fee anyways and tell the bank to raise the rate. Citibank confirmed this as a fraud. They called 5 times.
Called and thought it was credit card co w/ promo rate. Soon found out it wasn't after agreeing to let them lower my rate substantially on recording. I got the runaround trying to make sure I wasn't getting charged and got ***g up on by Adam Clark after a lot of yelling at me and how they were going to charge me $800.00 anyway. Also Prive testing company 402-982-0771 which s****ed the call. notified my Credit Card holders and closed accounts because of this call.
called asking to verify credit card numbers and reduce interest rate when I said not interested stated that my card had been charged 800 dollars already name on caller id was adam clark 1st time and callcenter second time. Called my credit card companies and report the fraud.
Received phone from 1-800-847-2911 a Mr. Ray Santiago claiming he works for Card Services and can****ist and represents VISA, Mastercard in****isting card holders in reducing their percent rates and stated based on my credit history that I qualify. Mr. Santiago, probably not his real name, gave an extension of 233. Stated that Bank of America and Chase would be calling me back within 10-20 minutes with a confirmation number. Within 10 minutes after closing out my cards I received a phone call from Financial Consulting Services at phone number 850-387-0474 and gave him a ration of "...." over the phone for causing me hardship. I called this number back and they have a message of their company. (850)is located in the panhandle of Florida. I will be checking them out.
Called and thought it was credit card co w/ promo rate. Soon found out it wasn't after agreeing to let them lower my rate substantially on recording. After getting cold feet, I got the runaround trying to make sure I wasn't getting charged and got ***g up on by Paul Blake. Also Justin Davis at 888-826-1162 ext306 was very ignorant when he knew I was no sale. I contacted the card company and have to watch to see if they charge me in order to dispute the charge of $900.00 for no services.
