These people are apparently using a computer dialer.  That way, a number is already ringing when the drone gets to it.  That's why you pick up the phone sometimes and ***ody's there--they haven't finished the previous call yet.  Saves the drone's time and wastes ours.  This should be illegal.

They just keep calling! I always ask but no one answers. So i also belive this is a scam, so i just mess with their minds.Someone needs to do so****ing about this!!!!!!!!! Like call the cops and report the number.

Received call from this number (caller unknown) at 4:51 p.m. 15/05/2008 .........nothing at the other end when I picked up, then some music followed by a busy signal .....whenever I tried to call the number back, I got a message informing me that this number had been disconnected.

I live in Northern NY. Someone called from this number at 6:30pm EST 5/15/08, when I answered, ***ody responded.

I recieved a call from this number on my cell phone they were trying to talk to me about a credit card when I questioned them about taking my number off of thier call list the woman got very nasty with me. I truly believe that this is a scam.
