Leave a CommentCalled the Modesto Police Department with a recording about important papers that needed to be delivered. When called back, I was put on hold for quite some time and then disconnected - three times, presumably because it comes up as a City number. This is an absolute scam. They are fishing for personal information. Do NOT give it to them!
Has some important papers to deliver. Seems to be another scam to get folks to pay to avoid going to court. I hope folks realize that an attorney will likely handle this and will not call and say they have papers to deliver, plus they will give you legit details about the debt in question!
