I called Verizon and they did confirm the number is one of their authorized dealers but I went ahead and asked her to block the number since I do not want to get back on a contract and if I did, I would initiate the call. If you are concerned, I would call Verizon, give them the number that called you and voice your concerns. If they get enough complaints, it is bound to make a difference. Just blocking them yourself does not solve the issue, they will just call from a different number.
