Leave a CommentI receive LENGTHY Voice Mail messages from an unknown source -- I suspect a debt collector/collection agency -- seeking return calls from a "Richard Lopez" an individual who is unknown to me. The calls are often outside of normal business hours and some have been almost threatening in nature. It is apparent that Mr. Lopez is delinquent in payment of several accounts. The caller seeks to enter into an "arrangement" with Mr. Lopez and hints at consequences if Mr. Lopez fails to make contact. I have tried calling the number to report that Mr. Lopez is unknown to me but my telephone calls always go to a Voice Mail which is never acknowledged. Meanwhile, I have received as many as 9 messages from the caller's automated system or else from an actual individual, -- male -- with an accent I believe to be Filipino, within a 12-hour period, some as early as 7:00 a.m. (Mountain Time) and as late as 9:00 p.m. (Mountain Time). Is this even legal?
