After reading Sherre's complaint, I have had these calls before. The police put a trap on my phone and I needed to write down the times and dates of each one of their phone calls. By the time the police found their place of fraud, the place was empty. This was an international fraud scheme and also back in the 1990's. Each call was worse than the one before, and they kept yelling at me to press the number 2. Then when I never pushed Number 2, they s****ed calling in Spanish and demanding that I push numero dos! I am worried as I have a check missing from my check book, and also on some hospital paper I put down my SSN. I never put my SSN on any paper! But I was in extreme pain and worried that the hospital wouldn't take care of me at that time. I never do my banking online, nor do I pay bills online. In these times, we really need to protect our iden***ies.
