Leave a CommentI received physical mail using this number as a contact. With a VERY legitimate looking letterhead from Capital One. When I called the number, the front-end voice response system sounded just enough 'off' that I hung up and called a real number from Capital One. I am opening disputes with all credit unions and Capital One.
Caller has an indian accent , claiming so****ing about an application number with Capital One. Left lengthy message during which he stutter and corrected himself couple times. Scary ppl out there, but he did have some info about me.
Unknown number claiming to be Capital One Fraud Dept asking about an application that we never filled out! Even had a so-called reference number. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION!!
This number left a voicemail saying they were Capital One Fraud Applicarion Center and needed to speak with me about my recent application. Gave me my application number I need to refer to when calling them back. And was looking forward to speaking to me. I haven’t filled out any applications.
