I received a voicemail that showed up as a restricted number from a Megan Smith who left a message indicating that a case was being filed a***nst me, but didn’t give details but this number to call back. I called back and talked to a woman that said her name was Madeleine and she indicated that this was regarding an ADT contract from 2018 on equipment that wasn’t returned, which I recall ADT at the time when I notified them to disconnect the service due to moving to another state said to leave the equipment. She wanted me to make a decision on the spot about settling with them. She gave 2 numbers that I would****entially owe… one included supposed****ential court fees and the other was more less what I would settle with them. Although when I pressed about the dollar amounts she got a little jumbled. They somehow also got an ex boyfriends’ number from 10 years prior to the ADT service and different address to get my number although I’ve had the same phone number and email address for over 20 years. Seemed a bit su****ious but also kind of convincing. I asked for the ADT contract number and she wouldn’t give it to me but rattled my social security number off which is kind of scary. Didn’t confirm my current address or email address even though I mentioned that I live in a different state now . I said that I needed to take a pause and determine what I should do then she pressured me to make a decision on the spot, which I wasn’t prepared to do then quickly skirted off phone by saying my case would be filed with Ventura county court.

He said there was a lawsuit a***nst a family member and that they would find her at my house if no one called them back to alert them of anything different. How ****** do they really think we are???

Identified caller name was Kayla Johnson, no company or other identification claim. Threating action a***nst family member no longer living with us. Block Caller ID no location given. Wanted return call to get further information. Did not call back.
