Leave a CommentEncountered number as a pop up on my lap top, together with a recording that my computer was infected, and that I should not shut it off or Microsoft Edge would be forced to disable my computer entirely. The pop up gave this number and said I should call it to get the situation corrected. We did not call the number for fear of this being fraud.
Would not give proper identification. Checked with Microsoft, no knowledge of this number or those who are doing this.
