Leave a CommentI received these messages from 512-97, i replied stop and it seemd to only make it worse. I then got 16 messages from them within 10 minutes! Had to call the phone company and report it finally...I hope this problem gets resolved

Received an unsolicited text from 51297:"ATTENTION! The government is giving Americans billions of dollars in FREE money please call 855-621-1889 to qualify RPLY STOP TO CANCEL."I registered my phone on the federal do not call list yet I still received this spam message. I did as the text advised and sent a text back with STOP but am unsure what repercussions this may have. How did they get my phone number?
