Leave a CommentSaid that i would get a $50 target gift card for filling out an online survey, also said it could be used at walmart or mcdonalds. i said i did not complete a survey and he came back and said that maybe my family used my number. the company they are with is apparently smart shoppers magazine club.guy was Indian and was very pushy and wanting my info to send me a "free card"i asked where he was located and he said the phillippines, but the head office was located in new york city.he then came back saying that the only thing they would need to give me the free gift card was a shipping payment of $1.99.. i said NO THANKS and ***g up.
I have received several text messages from this number. It is so weird that they do not call but text only. This let's me know that they are sollicitors and I will definitely ignore this.JUST TRYING TO GET YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION - DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!

I received a text message saying that I won a $50 gift card for a restaurant and a $50 gift card for my "fave" store. I was very skeptical but I called anyway. The first thing the lady asked when I got through was for my name so I gave it to her. Then she told me that it was a Target gift card that I would be receiving but she needed to know how I was going to cover the dollar and some c****e ( I forgot the exact amount) for shipping. Would it be debit or credit? Right away I told her I don't give out my information just like that, especially when I don't know who I'm talking to. She then said so****ing about it being secure and that everything would be fine. I then told her that the only information she would get from me is my name and address. After that she ***g up on me.
