called my cell and didn`t leave a message

A recording said "you've won a vacation from *** Security Co." Then they put me on hold. When I told them to take my number off their list, they said "I took your number" and then ***g up. This is illegal. They are supposed to take you off their list when you ask. Not **** up on you half way through your request. I hope these scoundrels get into big trouble. I am very protective of my cell number. I do not have time to deal with solicitors.
