Thye've called everyday the past week between 8-8:30am. I finally called them today, said they were looking for any Amy, I told them there's no Amy here, the guy said so****ing and ***g up! What a piece of s**t!!!

Please find a way to make these people go away.  They repeatedly call and are rude.  Originally asked to speak to a man then when I told them I did not know such person they asked if I was Lora Lie. I told them I was not and they told me I was lying needless to say I told them to have good night and ***g up.  This is ridiculous if there are so many people complaining why hasn't the FCC done so****ing?

After 2 months and 29 phone calls from Academy Collection Services I took the bull by the horns and researched this company.  On November 14, 2008 United States of America sued Academy Collection Service, Inc; Keith ****stein (perfect name for the business he's in); Albert Bastian and Edward Hurt (another great name for collections) all officers of Academy Collection Service.   The Civil Action was for Civil Penalties, *****ctive Relief and other Relief.  Basically the United States wants Academy to obey the rules set forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.   Academy was fined $2.5 Million and was told to basically clean up their act.  They must be in compliance of this court order.  Or face the judge a***n and be sanctioned.    According to the court do***ents which you can read online:Academy has collected over 1 million debt accounts a year. Can you just imagine how many people have suffered thru their relentless annoying phone calls?   On numberous occasions Academy collectors THREATENED or implied that Academy would garnish your wages, seize or attach your property or initiate lawsuits a***nst them if they failed to pay Academy.  Academy had NO LEGAL AUTHORITY or intent to do any of the above.   On numerous occasions Academy collectors withdrew amounts from consumers' bank accounts without obtaining prior authorization or consent.  Academy collectors deposited or threatened to deposit postdated checks prior to the date on such checks.  On numerous occasions Academy collectos called consumer's employer and third parties such as parents, children, other relatives, neighbors and co-workers.  Academy collectors used harassing and abusive tactics.  They call numerous times a day.  If you **** up they call right back.  They used abusive language including profanity when speaking with consumers.    Does any of this sound familiar?So, here's what I did to get rid of them.  And by the way......they continued to call after receiving the Cease Communication letter sent to them via Certified Mail and signed by their representative.     I sent the Cease Communication letter on August 5, 2009.   On August 8, 2009 the letter was delivered and I have a digital signature from C. Alessandrine at the address: Academy Collection Service, Inc, 10965 Decatur Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.  That should have stopped all communication.  But it didn't.  On August 10, 2009 they called me 5 times in a single day.   I faxed them at 215-281-7512 to show them the Cease Communication letter they signed for on 8/8/09.  They called me 4 more times after the fax.   These people think they're above the law.    SO then I decided to go to a higher power.  I filed 4 complaints with the FTC regarding all the violations including calling before 8am on August 6, 2009.  And I found the court do***ents with the Class Action Lawsuit filed in 2008.  I emailed Patrick Rose,****istant U.S. Attorney in Las Vegas where the case was filed.  Civil Action No.2:08-CV.  email address: [email protected]  and I emailed John Burke, Trial Attorney Office of Consumer Litigation with the U.S. Dept of Justice in Washington, D.C. [email protected] and Deborah Marrone, Attorney for Federal Trade Commission, New York [email protected] I got a response from Ms. Marrone immediately.  She provided me with the contact information for Academy Collection Service for compliance.  [email protected]  or call 800-220-0605 ext 2261.    Make sure you send your Cease Communication letter first.  Make sure you have written proof they received the certified letter.   If they continue calling......email, call or fax Academy showing your proof of the Cease Communication letter being received by Academy.   If they still keep calling I'd email the attorneys listed above.  Academy cannot violate the court orders they agreed to in April, 2009 when they were fined $2.5 Million.   The highest fine ever to a collection company for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act in U.S. history.    You have rights and no one has to take the abuse these people spew in an effort to line their own pockets.  My debt was 19 years old.  The debt was written off over 10 years ago.  The Statute of Limitations ran out years ago. They have no standing on this case and deserve nothing from me.   Good luck ridding yourselves of this disease known as Academy Collection Service

automated call on my phone. These are the same people who tried to get me to verify my social security number over the phone. I've filed a complaint.

It's not a scam it's a real collection agentcy, I finally answered the phone it found out. They were asking for my cousin that used to live with me. After some prying I found out the company name. They are not allowed by law to tell you that it's collections agency unless they get the person they are looking for(That's what they told me). unless you demand the full name like I did. I googled it afterward to make sure.They told me that the only way they know if it is a wrong number is if they get some one online to tell them. So call them back if it's a wrong number.

An unknown person left a voice mail message today and it of 2 people talking to each other - so they are wasting my air time for what exactly? No clue who they are or what they want.

I'm disabled. Someone called my cell phone saying they were with Philidelphia Academy and were representing Citibank as a collection agency. Then, they attempted to try and get me to verify the last 4 digits of my Social Security Number. I told them I wasn't gonna verify anything, and for all I knew this was a prank call, then ***g up on them. My ex-husband(I've been divorced over 11 yrs.) was awarded all the debts from the marriage. I'm scared this is an attempt at iden***y theft. Tomorrow I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Okla., concerning this matter. Like I said, I'm disabled. I'm scared. Please do so****ing!

receive up to 6 calls per hour from this number 1-856-668-4130 ... it is ABUSIVE calling constantly!!!!  these ****s need to GO AWAY... i am on a no call list and have no idea why they KEEP CALLING OVER AND OVER!!!

I keep receiving these calls on my work cell phone, all hours of the day, night and weekend, asking for someone I don't even know. Then they leave a message asking you to contact them. When I call back, they say the call will be monitored, but then the line dies. I get multiple calls a week with them releasing confidential information about this person I have no idea who they are.

FREQUENT CALLS TO MY CELL ALL HOURS OF THE DAY AND NIGHT. CALL BACK TO NUMBER RECEIVE MESSAGE THAT THE CALL WILL BE MONITORED FOR QUALITY CONTROL, THEN THE LINE GOES DEAD.

They have called me the past 3 mornings before 8 am This morning when I answered after several minutes of silent the lady finally said*****o I advised her that it was before 8 am she said so I advised her she cant call this early & that i have a little girl that she just woke up she advised me that I used my premier card at 7 am whats the big deal she will be calling back later & ***g up. First of all I DONT HAVE A PREMIER CARD or any other credit cards!!!! Second she had no idea who she was even talking to and disclosed information she should not. I will be filing a complaint also w/ FTC today.

Frequent calls, almost daily, from the number 856-668-4130. Whenever I pick up, ***ody talks on the other end. Just creepy silence. This is driving me crazy.I see from message boards this company is a collection agency. We have no outstanding debt so I cannot figure out why they are calling. And then not saying anything? So unnerving...

Message left on answering ma****e... stating that if you don't pick up the phone to disconnect they will know they have the correct party they are looking for.   Now tell me, how can you pick up the phone when no one is home? Thats why we have the answering ma****e!!!  What a pain!!!!

They keep calling and calling, New Jersey Call, 8:09 New Jersey Call, 8:54 New Jersey Call, 9:40 January 30, 2009 We know no one in New Jersey, and since it is a 856 number we know it is not a personal call. We are a older retired couple and do not have bills in collection; so it must be a tellamarketer. How do we get them to stop? How do they get our number?

Called three times within 45 minutes on 01/29/09. It's some woman who sounds like she might have graduated from the 4th grade. She knows how to say*****o,*****o,*****o; apparently reading off a script. She ***g up on me the last time she called.

Called three times early in the morning and when I answered it was a recording asking for : noone. I called them back and got a rude service woman who wanted to find a lady named Jessica Hill. When I told her there was no one here by that name and asked her to remove the number she kept asking me questions instead of admitting it was a mistake and agreeing to remove the number!

I am a senior citizen who receives calls from this number everyday sometimes several times a day and I would like to have it stopped. Please help me.

Another one of those random calls for Joseph or Monica [out of courtesy to them I'll omit the last name here].  This is to a cell phone for a disabled man and is used solely for him to summon help.  We've never heard of Joseph of Monica ... these are automated dialer generated calls.  I've been****ured this number will be removed.  PLEASE HELP STOP THESE CALLS !!!!

These soulless criminals call me on average 2 times a week, with frequent outbursts of 3 times a day for a couple of days once a month or so. Extremely irritating, typically done mid-late morning hours through early afternoon. Automated voice recording that claims is looking for someone other than myself (can't remember the name, but it was a male latino-sounding name). If [so and so] press 1, if not press 2. I always press 2 and it asks me to leave a message. I simply **** up by that point. Someone STOP them please. Thank you.

They call every day. 7 days a week. It has gotten so bad that i just let the answering ma****e get it. They never say anything. They just like my phone number. I wish there was a way to make them stop.

Answered the phone and automated service asked if this is (NAME), if yes press 1, if no press 2...I pressed 2 and then it said, if you want to take a message...blah blah blah, I ***g up. I mean, are they trying to steal my iden***y or so****ing? If you got my number how come you don't know my name?

CALLING AND LEAVING NONSENSICAL MESSAGES.

Received call at 8:40 AM on Sunday i let my ans ma****e take the call and it was a recorded message that stated that the call was for someone I have never heard about.  what was odd is that the message stated that if this was not the person that I should **** up right away.  If I did not **** up that I would acknowledge that this was the correct number for that person.  Then the message continued with a reference that that I should call a number right away and reference to an account number.  First - How do you **** up right away on an answering ma****e.  And calling someone on Sunday morning.  What can you do to stop this kind of calls?

This company has been calling my cell# for the entire year I have had it. I have told them numerous times that I am not Jeffery Wallace and to please remove this from their list.

Called four times in a three hour period for somebody who isn't here.

The call my work number (belongs to my employer, not me) and ask for someone named George Jones. This is not me, and no one at my company has this name. Other than the singer, I do not know anyone by this name. The part of the recording when they say the name is a different voice than the rest of the recording (and much lower recording quality). I've received these calls on and off for over 1 year. I've told them repeatedly that there is no one by that name at this number. Usually after I tell them this, the calls stop for about 2 - 3 months, and then pick up a***n. I no longer answer this number, I only use if for messages, so it ceases to be too annoying.

They keep ringing me and asking for someone I've never heard of.

I'm using lingo IP phone service (cheaper than Vonage).They have an advanced Call Forwarding Service, which I can setup to catch for instance any calls from a certain area code, or specific numbers. So when these Academy ****offs s****ed calling, I simply added 856* to my Call Forward profile of suspect criminals and those calls are automatically forwarded to the state Attorney General's office number. :-)Btw, when debt collectors call, never argue, simply ask: "I don't have any contract with your company and I don't do business over the phone." and **** up.If they write, simply mail the whole thing back, envolope and all and on a cover sheet type: "Regarding ALLEGED account ****......., Our records do not match".That's all. See if you hear from them a***n.Ignoring the problem isn't going to help though.Keep Studying.

I have all these "unwanted" calls go to a special contact I created called "do not answer".  I also have the ring set on "none".  This way, I do not waste my minutes or time by talking to them and they will either quit calling or not.  At least I am not bothered anymore.

They keep calling my number wanting someone who does not live here. I've gotten to where I have to screen my calls and not answer when it is them. Telling them that it is a wrong number does not work. Or...I get a message telling me to stay on the line if I am a certain person. I've also had it telling me to press a certain number if I am the person. I don't know how to make these calls stop.

Getting two computer driven calls a day from 856-668-4130.They are Academy Services (Collection Agency), looking for someone that does not live here any longer.  They are unrelenting.  I have filed a complaint with the FCC to stop these harassing calls.  Please file a complaint with the FCC if you have cause. Just go online to file (FCC.COM)

This is academy services. They work for First Premier Bank/collection agency and they really have no idea what they are doing because they usually get the wrong information from First Premier and there phone system and computers are pretty messed up, according to one of their customer service representatives

It is a credit card company from first premier. i think if you owe them money they want it.
