Have been called by this number several times this past week. First time I answered, an automated message asked that I press -1- if I was the named person and -2- if I wasn't. I pressed -2- and the call ***g up immediately. Since then, every time I answer, the call disconnects. The last time was at 8:56 AM this morning.

I got two missed calls yes****ay while i was out, left no message. They called a***n today and when i answered they ***g up.

Received call very early in the am. Asked for my daughter by first name, whom hasn't lived here in 20 years. Exasperating and an invasion of my privacy.

Caled at 7:56 am, left no message. If it's a collector or sales call, it's illegal in Texas to call that early.

They called for the first time today, stating that I owed some 1st American Visa Credit Card Co, almost $900.00, I've NEVER had even heard of this credit card co. And when I asked the lady what she was talking about, I was told not to yell at her, and my voice had never even rasied above it's normal level...Also, they called me on my cell phone, I NEVER give my cell # when I fill out a credit card application.

The phone calls s****ed about two months ago. They first showed up on my caller ID as unavailable, then private, and now as Academy Service. I do not answer calls from someone I do not know. They call anywhere from one to six times per day, no matter what day of the week, and do not leave a message after the ma****e talks. They sometimes call, then turn around and call a***n several times more. They have awakened my husband and I numerous times. My husband finally answsered the phone a few minutes ago and asked who they wanted. They mentioned a name that we do not know. He told them not to call here a***n. We'll see if it stops.

if they ARE calling for you it is illegal for them to call before 8 a.m. and after 9 p.m. That is YOUR time zone, NOT theirs. Its also illegal for them to threaten, call you names, etc. Next time, tell them that the conversation is being recorded (helps to do so), after the conversation is finished; call back and ask for their legal department. Play the recording! (As you have them where you want them kinda thing)! Works for all collections (the real ones that are "suppose" to be calling!

I'm tired of receiving calls from ****demy Collections) all the time at 8 in the morning and late in the evening. When will it end.

Academy Services keepsd calling my number, when I answer they **** up. Today they answered and was asking for my ex-wife from 25 years ago. We live 200 miles away from each other and have for years. I s****ed asking Academy how they got my number and why do they keep calling. Of course they wouldn't tell me anything. They said it could have got my number just by a lsat name match. Bull, they wouldn't match names 200 miles apart. It's more than a coincidence they were trying to reach my ex-wife of 25 years. Who are these people.

Received a phone call from this number this morning.  When I answered the phone someone just laughed into the phone and then ***g up.  This is very rude and I do not know why they are calling me.  When I researched the company - Academy Service - as listed on the caller ID it says they are a collection company.  I do not have debt - I am retired and pay all of my bills on time so I do not know why they would be calling me.

These fools call me every day: " Academy Services"-They ask for a person who has my last name, but whom I do not know.  I have politely explained that I don't know the person they are calling for, and they say they will take my number out of the data base.  A few days later, the calls s**** all over a***n.  This has been going on for weeks.  There's no pattern...sometimes it's early morning, sometimes evening.  I have a cordless phone in my bedroom, and at night I have to take it to another room and cover it with a pillow so these people don't wake me up at the ***** of dawn (which they have done several times).  PS It's very true when people say they are rude!!!

Well, I finally had enough. I filed a complaint with the FTC. It was easier than I thought. Academy Services is listed on the internet with their address, I have caller ID so I can prove how often they call, and they sometimes leave a detailed message so I saved those, and they told someone else who answered the phone way too much information, and it was a baby sitter. I hope this helps people, even if you owe a bill, don't feel that you don't have a right to file a complaint a***nst this company, they are breaking laws left and right. Do the right thing and help put them out of business! Sure they might re open under a new name, but it will cost them to do so in many ways. The FTC is not going to sit idly by while this is going on, this list of complaints is long, lets make it longer!

They got your number by what's called skip tracing. Even if your not that person they will keep harassing you. You can take it to the police for harassment or have the phone co block them. My local co charges $4 a month for up to 30 blocked numbers. It was worth it, I don't even know the person they ask for and they have been calling forever it seems (well over 8 months anyway). They cursed at my 6 year old son, I could hear them as I was taking the phone from him! That was when I had their number blocked! Hope this helps.

I then **** a whistle as loud as I can into the phone.  Boy, does that **** them off ... I have done it 3 times, and ***** myself every time.  I know it's sophmoric ... but it is fun.  Maybe if more folks do it to them, they will stop calling?  You have to remember to talk very softly when you call back, so they turn their receiver up -- then **** the whistle for all you worth.

yeah, the name of this company is academy services. they've called everyone but us. till this day, we don't know what this is pertaining to. they have to speak to the person that they are looking for or else they cannot disclose the information. use your caller id and block them.

Keep getting this call.  Why?  I don't know.  I told them the person they are calling for is not here and will not be here.  That doesn't matter - they just keep calling.  They do s**** very early in the morning.  Usually very soon after 8AM in our time zone.  Sure don't like to take "no" for an answer.My next step is to contact the attorney generals office as the above caller did.

"ACADEMY SERVICE"  Asked for someone that doesn't live here.  I said you have the wrong number.  They refused to believe me, saying I needed to get a message to the person whom they asked for.  I repeated "NO ONE LIVES HERE BY THAT NAME, NOR DO I KNOW ANYONE BY THAT NAME."  I told her to remove my number from her call list and she said "I cannot do that!" very rudely, and ***g up on me.  Now they call EVERY morning between 7:00a.m. and 8:30 a.m. PST.   When I answer they **** up on me. I have called the number back and they never say anything but I can hear that someone is on the line. I am ***g up on by this number EVERY DAY sometimes twice a day.

MOST OF THE TIME I DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE. I TOLD THEM THERE WAS NO ONE LIVES HERE BY THE NAME THEY ASK FOR, BUT THEY KEEP CALLING AND CALLING. HOW DO I MAKE THEM STOP?

Called at 8am and ask for someone I don't know.  I indicated that they had a wrong number and they asked my name.  When I asked who he was and who he was calling with, he said "that's irrelevant".  I indicatd that my name to him was irrelevant then too.  He said "fine, I'll call you back tomorrow then."  I immediately called the number back and spoke with a very nice man who identified the business as Academy Services.  He was to remove my number from their call list.  I told them if I received another call from anyone I would be calling back to speak with a manager.  I asked him to notify the rude caller from earlier that I didn't appreciate his at***ude.  He told me that the caller knew he'd get in trouble for being rude and didn't do***ent the call, so he would be unable to tell him.  VERY RUDE!!

Said she was a debt collector the first time. Was not satisfied that they had the wrong person the first time so she calls back (30 minutes later) and said she was with Academy the second time. When I told her she still had the wrong number and asked what was Academy she ***g up. Not a real smart group but I guess it does not take much to repeatedly dial the wrong number all day.

Repeated calls for a person I do not know. This number became mine last year when I open a new cell account. Obviously, the pervious holder of my number was a land-line and he let the line get disconnected when he skipped town. I have strongly explained this the person calling, they promised they would lose my number but still call back. Recently, the caller ID says "Private" or "Unknown" and no number is displayed.

Automated message asks if this is "so and so" press 1 if not press 2. I press 2 everytime they call yet the calls continue!

They are looking for a person that is no longer related to me by marriage.  They call 8:00am til 8:30pm.  Very annoying.  What I would like to know is how are they getting my phone number.

I have received calls from this number and another number from the same place.They are calling me on my cell phone and I would sure be curious as to how they got it. At one time I had my number on the donot call list.

This low-life Company calls at all hours of the day and evening and usually do not leave a message. They also call other people whom they believe may be connected to you; thereby at times embarrasing the***** out of you at a time when we are all suffering from the worst Economy since the Great Depression!!.

I called back the number and talked to a Mr. Stewart that's all he'd give me. I told him to remove my number from this list and he said, "is this Janice Stewart on Cooks Hill Rd?", I said "no its not janice and I'm not on cooks hill road." I asked for a supervisor and he put me on hold for a couple of minutes, came back and said the supervisor was busy and could they call me back in 2 minutes or less? I said yes but I doubt that they will call me back and they never did. I am ready to file a lawsuit. Please respond as to what this site will do for me, or should I contact my own attorney?

I just got a new cellphone & s****ed getting calls 1hr. after i got my phone, its been 1wk. i'm still getting them I keep telling them that i'm not her but they don't get the message

They have called me about everyday, and keep asking for an Elizabeth? The last time they called, I said " I have told you guys a thousand times that person does not have this phone number". I told her to stop calling this number and she got really snotty with me.

DONT give them any personal information, they will make you think they are your friend then call you a liar when you question them. If you can have the conversation recorded but if not dont give them any bank info, they will just take all the money that is owed to you and there is nothing you can do about it. If they tell you they don't accept "money orders" ask them to send you there policy paperwork stating this but don't give them your bank info, you will be sorry if you do.

This is a typical ploy to obtain information. Someone will call, won't identify themselves, and ask for a person with an improbable name like "Archibald Rodriguez". When you reply that they have a wrong number they ask: "Oh, so who am I speaking with?" I say: "Well, I'm not the person you are looking for, so what does it matter?" This almost always seem to disappoint them.

They keep calling asking for someone we have no clue who it is. We have had the # for 5 years and NEVER had calls like this till recently. I explain don't know the person, never knew the person to remove us. They are rude, threatening and very hostile.

keep calling at 8:00 in the morning when I called them back Emily was VERY RUDE and wouldn't give any information I kept calling about the 5th call someone else answered and said I needed to tell them who I was or they wouldn't stop calling.  I think this is an invasion of privacy and I am filing a formal complaint with this company
