Leave a Commentgot a notice in clairemont today.
We live in Clairemont, we were home all day January 2nd, but no one rang the bell. A note on orange paper was left, from "PCS", "PCS Reference # VI", saying "NOTICE" There is a Gift Waiting For You" "First Attempt". The phone number to be called during certain hours Monday - Sa****ay was (858) 565-6312.We did not call the number, but other posters have said when they called the number and actually managed to connect with someone, that it turned out to be about carpet cleaning. This is an unethical way for a company to do business.
We live in Clairemont and the girl was at our front door. I didn't answer, and she left a note. SHE DID NOT HAVE A GIFT BASKET WITH HER. So how can you attempt to deliver one and not have it on you? Note was on salmon color paper, same phone number, etc. But it says it is from PCS distribution center and code is V1.The girl was wearing a black shirt/hoodie, jean skirt, black tights and black lace up boots. She has long brown hair and looked between the ages of 18 and 22.
I live in Bay****just like the previous poster, Catherine. These guys have been working our neighborhood lately. Coincidentally (?), we were victims of a burglary just a few days before Christmas.
Just found a note at our front door this morning. We are in the Bay****area of SD. Found out a few days ago that 4 houses in our neighborhood had been broken into recently. scary. Thank god we have a gigantic black and tan dog!
They trespassed through a closed gate to get to my front door.
What a devious way to solicit business! No matter what their ultimate goal (carpet cleaning or casing a house or whatever) my anger extends to the fact that they couldn't care less who they "hit" with their fruit basket notices. There must be so many lonely people out there during this holiday season tho are falsely uplifted by the notice on their door and wonder who sent them the fruit basket ... until they phone the next day to be let down with the knowledge that it was all a misleading and underhanded scam! I wish I knew where to find these people so I could go give them my holiday wishes - and a piece of my mind!
I received their services and had no problems what so ever. The kirby vac is definetly the best vacuum that I have ever owned. After giving me my free fruit basket like they had promissed, they vacuumed my carpet and pulled out dirt that my old vac would have never got out. Then they shampood my carpet for free.I liked the ma****e they used so I got one. Yes they never told me they were going to sell their equipment but so what. They came to my home because I invited them and because I like to keep my home clean. I dont know what all the fuss is about. Its a free country but unfortunately complainers have their own websites now. Quit crying people!
They are all over the place because they hire a whole bunch of new people EVERY FEW DAYS!!! based on false adverti********here was an ad on craigslist for CARPET SHAMPOOERS (San Diego) $2150/month promised in written agreement. Of course many people who are looking for employment will answer an ad like that just to find out after a few days of so called 'orientation' or 'paid training' that they will be independent salesman for kirby vacuums. During these 'meetings' or 'orientations' or 'trainings' or whatever these poor ****ers are hyped up with the promise of becoming very rich and making tons of money in very short time, and rea****g 'financial independece'! After a couple of days of orientation period they are all sent out with the little green notes about the fruit basket in different areas of the whole Southern California. Some are sent even further!Sometimes they are just sent out to knock on peoples doors door-to-door to offer a free carpet shampooing so they can show off the 'kirby complete home care system'. During this demo these poor ****s than have to use every sales tactic in the book to be able to sell it for as much as $2157 basic unit +$199 for the shampooing kit plus plus plus who knows what they can come up with! They only get payed if they can put on 60 demos in 30 days! But this is not clearly stated during the first orientation. This is a TOTAL SCAM put on by different distributors for the kirby. They must run many similar scam ads because there are many new 'trainees' every few days! Most of who leave after the first 'orientation'. Some stay a few days just to find out they have been working for free.Don't fall for these scams! These people are total SCAM ARTISTS and they will do anything until you give in and buy!Sorry for all those who thought they will get a free fruit basket! Some of them will end up with an expensive household equipment that they will rarely use.And truly sorry for those ****s that do all the footwork for free!Just google Best Company Promotions or kirby sales scams! They run under many different names and numbers. They have an F rating on BBB. Best thing is to have a NO SOLICITORS sign, and if that doesn't work: a business end of a double barrel ****gun pointed at them through your mail slot in the door! :)
They made their way to Escondido today.
I got the note and immediately was su****ious and looked the number up on the net. Just to inform everybody, they were in Santee today.
They were in Point Loma yes****ay and today. I got the same note!!! Pathetic!!!
Guy going door to door with fruit basket certificates. I think I'll mess with them :)
I thought it was a gift from family, but being I send flowers and fruit baskets quite a lot, I know that Florists and Gift basket companies will usually call, if they can't reach you for delivery. Or they will call the person who placed the order, to advise them. Regardless, I almost called the 858 565-6312 number, but decided to check the Net first. I'm really glad I did, as obviously its totally bogus. I also found an expired listing for this number on Craigslist, for Carpet Cleaning.
Just got a photocopied note on the door with this number. New message than the ones from above: It reads:NOTICE: There is a gift waiting for you!!!Phone: 858-565-6312Ref#: G-2Best CompanySan Diego, CaSeriously bizarre. No car pulled up. Barely heard the door knock. Came down too late and no one, but the note was there.
There are dozens of complaints a***nst these people on another site. They're trying to lure you into agreeing to a "free demo" of a vacuum cleaner or a free rug shampoo. Looks like it might actually be a set-up, so they can get access to your home to case it, possibly to rob you. Do not call this number, do NOT let these people in your home!!! Very scary.
Same in University City (San Diego) Nov 20 2008. Home all day, just opened the front door to look for the mail, and found the note on the doormat....
Same note, same phone number, same modus operandi ... I was here, would have heard them if they'd made ANY attempt to knock or ring the bell. There are dozens of complaints about these guys on another site. It appears that it may be a set-up, to case your house for a robbery. They try to ***n access with a "free" demo... the demo takes hours, they have other people show up and move around in the home... Very scary.
I also found a sticky note on my door that stated "For You a Beautiful Basket of Fruit; Sorry We Missed You; You may call for your fruit Monday thru Sa****ay; Kindly Phone: 858-565-6312". I immediately thought it was a scam since I had been home all day and anyone attempting to deliver a basket of fruit to my door surely would have been successful. I never called the number.
I had a sticky note left on my front door stating that an attempt was made to deliver a fruit basket and to call with my reference number to arrange pickup. The woman answering the phone told me that they were cele***ting 35 years in business and were looking to open a new store in the Lakeside area and were giving fruit baskets to selected family's, she even said "Isn't that nice?". She then went on to state so****ing about shampooing one room of my home, in exc****e for... and at that point, I ***g up.
Got a message on my door abut a fruit basket. When I called I got a voice of someone not from around here telling me to wait unitl I was transfered to a different department. Checked on internet for "Best Compamy" at bottom of card. No reference. Do not call this number.
I did a follow-up today and the receptionist stated they are cele***ting 35 years in business and they wanted to give me a free fruit basket. I then informed her that there are many unfavorable reports on the web about their company. She then said "Well, we have been in business for 40 years and we are a reputable company". I then reminded her that she told me they were in business for 35 years. She ***g up the phone. I called Turko Files to investigate.
