I keep getting unknown caller on my phone, so I dont answer. Than today I get an email from someone stating they are from the Nation crime center. Is this a scam? I have been scammed by people like this before?

received numerous calls since 8/26 . This gentleman by the name of john smith with a deep accent claiming i owe 285 dollars for a loan that i pd on.  He threatened to have the cops come to my employer on friday.  called me a***n today asking what are my intentions with this and i said to him i am not paying it.

This caller called for the first time today.
