Leave a Commentjust had a call to an unlisted # on the do not call registry... this is not a # that is given out to anyone...
I got a call from this number and answered. No one on the other line, then after about 10 seconds it went to a busy signal.
i have been investigating this number for awhile. Got a call on 9/23 at 10:48 a.m. and the caller id said Okeechobee, Fl and phone number is 863-467-8918. I answered the phone and said*****o. Silence on other end. So, I said*****o a***n and not to quickly after 2nd*****o, they just ***g up (disconnected). I then asked a friend who works for a phone company how can someone do this. He said they can s**** you by a device that puts in whatever number they want to show up on your end that is not their number. But, because they waited for me to say*****o twice, I figured it was someone who wanted to call but was not ***ve enough to say*****o. But, now that I have found this website, I believe that someone must have a do not call list and have nothing better in life to do, but to aggrivate everyone else.
me too! just this morning. and I did the same as you all. Let voicemail take it, then checked the number on the net.
Hilarious! I just got the call too. I always check online when I don't know the name/number. Same gig, didn't answer it and it went through to my v/m and he (?) did not leave a message.
I just got this call and, as per my normal practice with unknown callers, I let my answering ma****e take it. I listened and when I heard the scam pitch, I pressed response "1" to get to a human. A guy answered saying "Are you interested in our low interest rate offer?" I asked "Who is this? He said, "You requested information on our low interest rate" (apparently by responding the the 1 ****on). I said, "Who is this and why are you calling me?" He immediately ***g up. I tried calling back and got a message that the line was disconnected. As with the others, the name was James Anderson. And yes, it appears they are somehow using phony caller ID's. I don't know how to file a complaint if you don't have the correct info. Ugh.
I recieved a call 9/26 @10:51AM. On answering I got the don't be alarmed greeting. Pressed 1 got a person who wanted my personal financial info to get me a lower interest rate on credit card accounts. Told her to send me info in the mail and I might consider, I wasn't giving any info out over the phone. She said she totally understood, and ***g up never asking for my address. I'm also on the do not call list.James Anderson, or who ever you are, I'm gonna ***t you down. I'm sure you visit this site.
On this date I received a phone call from this number - 863-467-8918 - James Anderson. I let it go to voicemail and they did not leave a voicemail. I tried to call the number back and it was disconnected. I am sure the number was s****ed (where you call a number and enter a different number that will appear on the other person's caller id) very easy to do if you use a broadband voice over the internet protocol or phone. I am a criminal investigator and I am sure the entire number and call was fraudulent. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!
We got another call from this company after asking to be removed from the calling list. We are on the do not call registry and I filed a complaint with them. When answered this time we asked for the supervisor and they ***g up on us.
I think the do not call list is becoming useless. People have figured how to get around or just ignore it completely. I get these type of phone calls all the time. I have filed complaints but they just keep coming. I ignore them but they are still agrivating!
I live in Kentucky and I have received this "last chance" call 3 days in a row. This recorded lady s****s out by saying "Do not be alarmed" and then goes on to say that by pressing 1 and talking to a rep I can lower my credit card rate. I am also on the no call list.
I live in Houston, TX. Received a phone call at 4:38 PM. Since I was not home, it went to my voicemailbox. Agree with the previous ones. "recording stating that I could recieve a lower interest rate on my credit card, says "Last Chance to get a lower rate on your current account" BUT not from my credit card company. Press 1 to accept, press 2 to stop the calls (I pressed 2)"I tried to call back, however, phone is not in service. Also, when I googled, several names came up.I filled out the do not call list, but I am still getting phone calls!!!My phone showed "Out of area" with 863-467-8918. I used to live in Florida, so this phone number belongs to somewhere in the Tampa area. Unless it is a cell phone.
It happened to me also James Anderson at 1:37Pm 09/24/2008 and I am also on the do not call list
Caller ID for 863-467-8918 says: James Anderson.Called the number back and the number is not in service. There are a couple different names and addresses that come up when I searched online. That is odd. Same number for 3 different people in different towns in the same state? W***ver it really is, ***g up.
I filed a Do Not Call Registry complaint about this call from 863-467-8918. The area code is for Florida and the caller ID said James Anderson. It s****ed out with a prerecorded woman's voice that said "Do not be alarmed..... this is your last chance to lower interest rates. I ***g up.
Just received this call. Caller ID identifies it as James Anderson. A computer message came on telling me "Don't be alarmed by your increasing interest rates..."/ I ***g up. I am on the Do Not Call List

This number appeared on my caller ID when I answered my phone. The name was James Anderson. I told him I was on a DO NOT CALL Registry. The man got nasty, and said we WOULD speak a***n, even though I insisted that he remove my number from his list.
i had this number on my caller id called it back and it says it is disconnected
I have had this phone number on my caller ID. It comes up as "James Anderson". I have found that he is supposed to be with CREDIT SERVICES from Atlanta in research that I have done on the web. Beware, this seems to be a scam.
Came home and saw on my caller id. Didn't leave message.
